nov 14 2025 On Thursday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins discussed data on food stamps and said that data from blue states is “going to give us a platform and a trajectory to fundamentally rebuild this program, have everyone reapply for their benefit, make sure that everyone that’s taking a taxpayer-funded benefit through SNAP or food stamps, that they literally are vulnerable and they can’t survive without it.”

Rollins stated, “29 states, mostly the red states, responded with their data sets, February, March, April. … But here’s the most unbelievable news I have really, just over the last few days: That 5,000 dead people, that was just one month, the number is closer to 186,000 deceased men and women and children in this country are receiving a check. Now, that is what we’re really going to start clamping down on. Half a million are getting two. But here’s the really stunning thing: This is just data from those 29 mostly red states. Can you imagine when we get our hands on the blue state data, what we’re going to find?”

Hmm, ass-backwards bureaucracy to address the willfully ignorant prejudices of the maga mooks and alt-right reich mooks.

First off, Rollins is a die-in-the-wool hard right, legal pedigreed Texan republican and Trump appointee. Her current position has already displayed her willingness to twist facts to fit the MAGA propaganda. Note:

Why would "MAGA" want to end SNAP?

Grocers everywhere love to donate money to republicans because republicans love the "farmers" bills that just hand them money. Less than 10% of the Farm Bills go to actual farmers, it almost all goes to big corporations selling you the food.

So if your 9 to 5 doesn't pay enough to cover rent and food, and you have no ACA for medical costs, like say the Walmart employee situation in recent years, and you have to supplement with SNAP, you right to vote should be rescinded?

How "elitist" of you. So here's the question: why are you here instead of Orban's Hungary? Or North Korea?

He's talking about eliminating waste and fraud. Thing is, the corporate elite and inherited wealthy are okay with military/industrial, big pharma fraud, but shit their pants that somewhere a joker has scammed the system for a few grand. And then they take a scorched earth approach to all social services, while the Pentagon fails audits for 7 years, and billions are dumped into Israel, whose citizens enjoy social services and entitlements that the average working stiff in America can only dream of.

Yeah the number of SNAP recipients skyrocketed during the 4 years of the Biden administration. Judging by the numbers of people on social media bragging about scamming SNAP it looks like SNAP fraud may have skyrocketed. It is time to make everyone reapply so we can cut out the scammers.
