Me? I'm still checking out the field.I live in New Jersey. We have a gubernatorial election THIS year.
I have already voted (by mail) for the Democratic candidate, Mikey Sherrill.
As of this moment, I would not vote for a Republican candidate even if it were Jesus Christ himself. The Republicans, in my opinion just do not know how to govern...and apparently have no intention of even trying to govern. All they seem willing to do is to do whatever Trump demands of them.
So, next year (if I live that long) I will vote for the Democratic Party candidates...as, in my opinion, our only hope.
So, we have elections coming up in just 12 months or there abouts and all of congress and 35 seats in the senate are up for grabs. Any ideas? Me I'm still searching for candidates in any party right now.
I look for character first — someone who serves the country, not a party. I want honesty, steadiness, and respect for the Constitution. I’m not chasing extremes or slogans; I’m looking for a grown-up who’ll listen, work across divides, and remember they represent all of the people. What are you looking for in your candidate(s)?
I tend to vote mostly (D) but very seldom ever vote straight ticket. I don't know yet who will be on the ballot. Our wonderful governor, Whitmer, is terming out next year. Several people have made noises about running to replace her but so far it's up in the air.

Anyone who is not a Democrat. How about you?So, we have elections coming up in just 12 months or there abouts and all of congress and 35 seats in the senate are up for grabs. Any ideas? Me I'm still searching for candidates in any party right now.
Isn't it tragic that New Jersey voters, who complain about their high taxes and costs of living all the time, continue to vote for Democrats who are the reason their taxes and costs are so high.I live in New Jersey. We have a gubernatorial election THIS year.

Voting Democrat is a sign of mental illness. What are you looking for in your candidate(s)?

Well, perhaps voting is not for you then. Hard to find a politician who is as pure as the driven snow. Sit this one out.I look for character first — someone who serves the country, not a party. Good.
Halfwit thinks Democrats have integrity and honesty.
Calling you a moron would be an insult to morons. Morons have more integrity and honesty.Republicans 2026 message:
Banging 15 year olds isn’t that bad.

The first is a non-issue for me. The second should be absolutely repealed in full. The third should have serious work / education requirements tied to it and use limited to staple goods only, no fast food, no ready to eat items, and no 'luxury' foods. I would make being on SNAP have mandatory classes those getting them have to attend in what amounts to home economics. That is, they have to demonstrate they can manage a budget, cook healthy meals with raw ingredients, operate a home kitchen, know housekeeping skills and apply them, etc. They can't do it, then they get to keep going to class until they can.I will vote a candidate that wants the Epstein files released and is for ACA and SNAP.
So, what Democrat policies do you favor most?I look at the names in the Democratic Primaries.
In the general elections, I don't look at names.
I just vote straight blue tickets.
Modern Republican values are abhorrent to me.
A politician willing to have (R) after his/her name
isn't going to have policy positions amenable to me.
Forget Hester Prynne.
We have a new Scarlet Letter now--R--
and this one actually deserves to be held in contempt.
