There are actually two different sets of files.
One is the DoJ files that were used to prosecute Epstein and Maxwell. Those are the ones that MAGA demanded before the election and now seem to no longer care about. The vote in the House will be to pass legislation directing the DoJ to release those files. It will require a vote in the Senate and a Presidential signature of veto override before DoJ will be required to release them.
The other set of files came from the Epstein estate who turned them over to the Senate. It is those files where the Democrats releases some emails that talked about Trump and then the Republicans to try to hide those few emails released 20,000 other pages.
