4 Justices.... out to destroy your rights...

Good article. No one with a leftist gun fraidy cat view will think so, but they don't read (or practice) Reason anyway.

I had a feeling you would agree with it. It just made too much sense. I would love to see the faces of the four if the author asked them on camera to defend their positions based on what he stated in the article. Deer... headlights...

Hopefully the gun nuts (and I use that term affectionately) will accept that they won and will chill the fuck out. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

hopefully we'll get a couple more anti murder justices in place soon.

I understand that you think privately owned guns are the problem. But I can't believe that you want the SCOTUS to overrule the US Constitution.

If they had ruled that the 2nd amendment was a collective right, reserved for the gov't, do you have any idea how badly that would have fucked the people??

I don't think he believes in the Constitution. Like too many on both sides of the extreme, they KNOW they have the way to perfection, which all the idiots just don't get.

'chill the fuck out'????

So by discussing the issue and posting an article criticizing the dissenters we are some how 'out of control' or something?

you are a douche bag

Relax. I wasn't speaking about you and posting an article. I was thinking more of the types that want to pass laws that require bar owners to allow people with guns in the bar and things like that.

Have a rough day at the track yesterday or something?

No... he could care less about how bad it would have fucked us over. All he cares about is his ridiculous notion that only people willing to break the law to get guns should have them.

He seems to think that if guns are illegal that NO ONE will have them. That if law abiding citizens are allowed to own guns they will just go nuts with them and increase the murder rate.

Given the media slant against gun owners, the number of groups and politicians who have stated goals of banning private ownership of guns, and the myriad of regulations we face, I think we gun nuts have been quite civil.

Hey douche bag... I could care less WHO you were referring to. It was a moronic comment and thus I stated what I did.

'gun nuts' weren't going crazy before this decision... they were standing up for their CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS. The insane people were the ones (like the four dissenters) who were trying to justify VIOLATING those rights.

If anyone needs to 'chill out' it is you and the other douche bags.

I think that's ridiculous. The NRA won a long long time ago. Hell, there was bipartisan agreement not too long ago to specifically exempt the NRA and only the NRA from campaign finance regulations. There is no real effort to further restrict gun ownership anywhere. In fact, the only laws passing these days relax restrictions on gun ownership and carrying.

I take it that's a yes to the track trouble question.

So we won't be seeing any new efforts in Chicago to restrict gun ownership?

Really? You may want to inform the Dems in Chicago of this...

I think that bar owners should have the right to choose to allow that kind of thing or not, I also think they should be able to choose whether to allow smoking or not.

Oddly enough before the smoking ban had passed in our state, if you had a serving license you had to have at least a "smoking area"... They weren't even allowed to choose not to allow smoking, now they aren't allowed to choose to allow it anywhere...
