Trump knew Maxwell was poaching his young female employees, and told her to stop. That's their evidence that "Trump knew". There is no evidence Trump knew Maxwell and Epstein were using them for sex. He also knew Epstein was being inappropriate with some of his employees, and banned him from the club.
Actually there is - in one of the emails released this week from Epstein's estate from Esptein to Maxwell, Epstein talks about "trump knowing about the girls". Epstein has no reason to lie in an email to Maxwell.

Epstein was convicted in 2008 because of “the girls’ and was under house arrest for a year "because of the girls". Why is is a news story that Trump “knew about” this 11 years later? Obama knew about the girls!

He was given a sweetheart deal by several attorney's including trump's own labor secretary who had to resign because of it and Alen Dershowitz had to go on a TV tour promising that although he did receive a massage from a young girl at Epstein's estate, he "kept his underwear on".
