Appropriation bills provide founds for the ENTIRE year. The Continuing resolution only funds for a couple of months during which time Congress is finally supposed to pass the appropriation bills.

The GOP has the majority in the House. The House has not passed all the required appropriation bills that would keep the government open. The only reason the CR is required is because the GOP failed to do their job. Since everything is the result of the GOP not doing their job only and idiot cult member like yourself would say the Dems prevented the GOP majority from passing the appropriation bills in the House.

Nope. ANY appropriation of expenditure is an appropriation bill. The CR is no exception.

The House passed the CR. It's the DEMS in the Senate who were holding it up. They've now capitulated.

Now it's just a matter of the House agreeing to the slightly modified terms that the Senate passed and then the President signing off on it.

The CR is a continuing resolution bill. It is NOT an appropriation bill. Although the Senate did include a couple of appropriations in what they passed.

This is from the Congressional website and current as of today.


I'll post a picture of that site that shows the status of a couple of the appropriation bills. Agriculture not passed. Commerce not passed. Financial Services not passed. Defense passed by the House. Energy not passed but the House did pass a resolution to consider it but then postponed that consideration since July 23rd.

The CR doesn't fund the full government for the entire fiscal year. Only the appropriation bills do that.
The House as of today has passed 5 of the 12 appropriation bills.
