Reality: Homosexual Marriage

The federal government isn't instituting marriage licenses. Marriage is in accordance with State constitutions, and depending on the State, they may choose to recognize a theological basis or not.

HIV is merely one of the problems with queers, Damo. The main issue that I have with queer marriage is that it forces society to lie to children and claim that it is normal moral natural and healthy.

I didn't say "The Federal Government", and the Amendments apply to the States and Local Governments as well, there's this annoying determination to ignore that fact among people who pretend to care about the constitution, yet still seek ways to make sure that everybody follows the tenets their religion through the force of law.

And nobody has to "lie" and tell anybody that it is "normal, blah, blah..."

I just want the government to stop playing in religious institutions, attempting to "define" what people's own belief should define. You have every right to tell your children that anything that is "abnormal" is bad if you wish.

is it a mystery?......you sit there trying to force your beliefs on us and tell us when you succeed we should just sit back, shut up and live with it.......is that some kind of 'do what I say, not what I do' mantra you learned from your parents?....
This is rich with irony. All I seek is a return to constitutional government. The government isn't allowed to establish your specific dogma into law, and every person of any religious belief should be determined to get the government out of its prerogatives.

Who cares? So is skydiving, but they can get married. So is BDSM, but it's perfectly okay so long as they are hetero to go right on ahead. So is being a NASCAR Driver, but they can get married. So is going on TV to marry some stranger because you want to "Marry a Millionaire" but that was perfectly okay...

Other "abnormalities" that seem okay with all the people upset with homosexual marriage include:

Albino
Successful Screen Actresses
Pop Star Divas with parental issues
Drug abusers
alcoholics
Gem Stone cutters.

Ha ha ha. Very true.

My reply was in response to having no idea what you were going on about; seeing as how you have a tendency to ramble.

Comedy.

What's winding you up? Is your fictional god angry because people are gay?

In 1783, the Treaty of Paris granted sovereignty to the United States of America.

In 2010, British polluters inflicted an attack on the Gulf of Mexico.

You lost both times. Take a hint, and take a hike.

You forgot the 1812 burning down the White House....

Firstly, as I can see you are a bit hard of thinking. BP was half owned by Americans, half the board are Americans, the parts that went wrong were from Halliburton.

Secondly, considering the US history of pollution and industrial accidents (Bhopal for eg.) you have nothing to say.

Thirdly, are you Dixie in drag?

I have this to say - we won every war you were ever foolish enough to wage against us, and you would have lost more if we hadn't saved you. We're going to take every dividend BP even dreams of paying shareholders as compensation for the damage English greed has caused on the Gulf.

Now, run along and post at http://www.ukdebate.co.uk/forums/index.php

interestingly, my 'dogma' was the law of this land from the time predating the constitution.....why should we abandon it for your 'dogma'?......what exactly is it you claim we 'returning' to?........

then let's simplify it.....why don't you simply take your own advice and suck it up?.....

Thanks for clarifying your previous statement; but there is no need for me to do so, seeing as how same sex marriges are going to be recognized as legal and all the States will have to abide by it.

and, since you refuse to take your own advice now, I see no reason to take it then....:good4u:

You're not being forced to do so; but if you plan ahead, it will allow you to be better prepared.
Plus if you're prepared, it might save you from needing professional help when the Supreme Court rules that same sex marriages are legal and that they are to be recognized; in every State.
