No they won't because that isn't what "marriage" is, and it never will be.
They may adopt Civil Unions legislation as I suggested and Damo agrees with, but "marriage" is a highly religious tradition and it won't be redefined. EVER!

So everyone that was married at a Vegas wedding chapel, or by a Justice of the Peace, aren't really married; according to your logic.
There will be no civil unions; but instead marriage will found to be acceptable for all consenting adults to have a right to, even same sex marriages.
You might want to seek counseling for this, now, so that when it occurs you won't have a mental collapse.

I have no idea what's in the spiritual hearts of people who marry in Vegas as opposed to somewhere else, including the JoP, so I couldn't say if they are "really" married, but if they have a marriage license issued to a man and woman for marriage, they are married according to my logic and the law.
As for counseling, I'll worry about that when I see rainbow unicorns descending from the skies, because that's about the only scenario where your fantasy of stupidity will become a reality. But keep tapping those heels together Dorothy! Wear those ruby slippers out!

And when the States begin issuing marriage licenses for the same sex marriages, then your logic will have to accept that they are married and are in adherance to the law.

I think your first step is actually getting a Gay Marriage initiative passed at the ballot box.... Since you've had a little trouble doing that in the most liberal of states, I wouldn't be celebrating victory just yet.

But it's changing and even California voters are rethinking their 2008 decision.
Slowly but surely more and more States are begining to see that same sex marriages aren't gong to cause the world to end.
And you also will someday have neighbors who had a same sex marriage and you'll see how much love they feel for each other.

It's just awful curious to me, here we have a contingent of people highly favorable to Gay Marriage, much more so than the general population, yet not a soul has "rethought" their position on Gay Marriage. In ten years, I have not seen one person come forward and say... ya know, I was opposed to Gay Marriage, but after hearing your stellar debate and magnificent points, I have changed my mind about it, and now I support Gay Marriage! Not a soul!
Yet, you CLAIM that people are changing their minds left and right, and even though it has been recently defeated by huge and overwhelming margins, in the most liberal of states, you confidently assure me it is on it's way! I guess it must be all those backwoods country folk in the Bible Belt who are socially conservative, clinging to their guns and Bibles, and who don't have the Internet, that are changing their minds in droves to support Gay Marriage? That's why we don't see them posting here!
And man.... We have the most liberal president and VP ever to serve in the White House, and neither of them could bring themselves to support Gay Marriage as recently as 2008! Now I figured that was because of the black and Hispanic voters, who were overwhelmingly opposed to Gay Marriage, but they must be changing their minds as well? Still... It's just really odd to me, we don't seem to see this mass changing of minds here on the board... you'd think we'd have at least a few representative mind-changed posters here, wouldn't you?

But I am referring to the past two years, when it comes to the attitude in California.
Overall though, many people are changing their thnking on this matter and are realizing that allowing same sex marriages won't ruin what they have or believe.
