Why do certain people flood forums?

People flood forums to rapidly spread information, express strong opinions, or disrupt conversations by overwhelming them with a high volume of posts. This can be for positive reasons like promoting a cause or negative reasons like spreading misinformation, creating chaos, or harassment. This tactic is also known as "flooding the zone" and can be used to sow distrust or overwhelm the opposition.
Reasons for flooding forums
Spreading information or opinion: A large number of posts can rapidly share information or a strong opinion with many people at once.
Spreading misinformation: Deliberately flooding a forum with false or conflicting information can confuse the audience and promote general distrust.
Disruption and chaos: Individuals, such as trolls, may flood forums for amusement or to deliberately disrupt a rival's activities or sow general chaos online.
Political or social manipulation: Flooding can be a tactic to polarize an audience or to "decapacitate public deliberation" by creating confusion and apathy, especially in contentious political discussions.
Hiding other content: Flooding can be used to bury genuine posts or discussions under a large volume of new messages.
Harassment and bullying: Flooding can be a form of cyberbullying, where a large number of posts are used to target an individual and cause them distress.
Infiltration: Sometimes, flooding is done to infiltrate an online community to gather information about its members or activities.

My take? Loneliness and no life.
 
There are maybe 5 or 6 of us here who put up 50 or more posts a day. I do it because I spend a lot of time here and I have a lot to say. I am retired, I have very few responsibilities, I very rarely leave my house by choice in part because I live in a dystopia, I have almost no family, I have lost most of my friends because I am a heretic who refuses to keep my mouth shut in a deeply intolerant age, and I am on my computer at least ten hours a day because education is one of the few things that still gets me off.....I am here, on X and on YouTube though I have never once posted on X....I read only.
 
Sex, Drugs, good food, drinking, the love of a hound, and learning.....these are the things that still get me off.

Sometimes music, but as is the case with Hollywood modern music is a disaster.

In cultural collapse everything goes.
 
Speaking of which I am hearing some alarming things about the numbers of those in the West who sign up for official suicide programs.

After awhile, if one is on a particular forum, it becomes pretty easy to sift out the liars and bullshitters.

Other social media such as Facebook or Twitter are the dangerous platforms. That shit goes out to millions without really knowing the veracity of the source.

Facebook is worse than useless, but X is very valuable in the hands of someone of my caliber.

Ya know, I have sites I'll never be banned from, and then some others that were mighty popular that I got banned from for calling out thieves and global warming. They won't ban me at the old schooler's site at least. 😆
Oh, the info there is outrageous. I really should post some stuff. I can flash whatever.
