Video - Sen. Kyl: 'Obama Says No Border Security without Amnesty'
by Connie Hair
06/20/2010

In a stunning revelation at an Arizona town hall meeting this past Friday, Republican Senator Jon Kyl told his constituents that President Obama privately insisted that he will not secure the border until amnesty for illegal aliens passes first.

Democrats dismantling the country, brick by fucking brick.

God I can't wait for November.

It was a closed door meeting. Are the Democrats denying it?

Yes, the White House is denying it. And given that Obama not too long ago sent National Guard troops to the border for border security purposes, I don't think there is much doubt as to who is telling the truth.

unarmed national guard troops for administrative assistance to BP only. :pke:

given that he HASN'T sent the additional troops to the border yet, I think it is a bit early to say who is/isn't telling the truth.

You have no more to back Obama than he does Kyl.

Aren't these meetings taped, since Nixon days?

It would be awesome to have Obama flat-out deny it, then Kyl produces a tape. :)

Secure the border and I'll help you pass the amnesty.

Border first, then amnesty. That's the logical steps to take.

...............In our times, American democracy is being dismantled, piece by piece, before our very eyes by the current administration in Washington, and few people seem to be concerned about it..............

And thats a fact...

My GOD man, the level of paranoia you display here on a daily basis never ceases to astonish!

But the ridiculous, over the top, hand wringing fear you continually try and spread is getting kinda old.

Try maybe dialing back the doomsday rhetoric like, five or six notches.

that is a lot of border to secure and at what cost

the only way to truly keep people out would be to heavily patrol the border or install a 'berlin wall' - since most of the border is desert, it might be a good training ground for troops to be sent to the middle east but the law states that us troops may not be used on us soil unless martial law is declared for the area - a cure worse that the disease

and there are not enough national guard people to do it even if you count all of ca, az, nm and texass troops - unless other states want to contribute their national gurard people - perhaps they will considering that illegals permeate the entire nation...well not hawaii and not many in alaska

also, remember that all illegals are not latino - so we have problems with illegals from asia and europe - people 'overstaying' their visas

we cannot even keep the drugs out, let alone the people

and let us not forget the canadian border

not to mention how much controlling our borders would add to 'big government'

Actively enforcing the laws in the books would go a long way toward securing the border.

The cost is the cost. Enforcing the border will help with the drugs too, because they are carried by people. I've never seen a bail of weed looking for work at Home Depot.
