Rebellious implies open defiance of authority or resistance to control: rebellious students demonstrating on campus.
Mutinous pertains to revolt against constituted authority, especially that of a naval or military command: mutinous sailors defying the captain.

There won't be a court martial for this. The resignation allows Obama to look manly as he refuses it without having to fire him. If he takes into consideration what he said in the interview he'll even shine better.

Oddly enough, my previous "shot" (that he'll run for President) is unlikely as he is a Democrat and made that very clear. (Telling us who he supported; Hillary, and who he voted for; Obama).

this is mcchrystal's third offense - i think bho has no choice but to fire mcchrystal

ps i do not think that there will be a court martial either

pps bho is giving mcchrystal a chance to explain himself tomorrow...and then he will fire him

he also is responsible for keeping his staff under control

as for it being important, i do not think that bho would have called mcchrystal back from afghanistan if it were not

He'll "accept his resignation".. There won't be a firing. That's if he doesn't just tell him to get back to the war and shut the heck up, next time there will be a court martial.

interesting opinion - i guess that you think that bho will give him another chance

oh well, we will find out tomorrow

McChrystal needs to pack it in and leave as quietly as possible....His grovelling is disgusting in itself...hes become an embarrassment to himself and the Army.
He knew speaking the truth would get him into trouble.

Who would have thought that a 4-star general and his staff getting shit-faced on a bus trip with a reporter would be a bad idea?

What in the hell are you babbling about?? How is McChrystal "groveling"....or does the chain of command take second fiddle to your anti-Obama agenda?

How was McChrystal "speaking the truth" when Obama gave him EXACTLY what he asked for in Afghanistan?

As an alleged military man, you should know that officers DO NOT publically air grievances regarding superior officers unless they are willing to accept the reprocussions of their actions.

When Baptiste called the Shrub a liar...he did so AFTER he resigned, as to not to disgrace his uniform. When Eaton called the Shrub a liar, he did so within the confines of an official hearing before the Senate.

McChrystal thinks he's irreplaceable......he's not.
