Sarah Palin: Marijuana Policy Reformer?

ok, 51. my bad. i'm 43 myself. My opinion, I think you're too ideologically blinded by partisanship to understand just what it is I said, which is fine. That's your right. As for the inability to think for myself, maybe you haven't paid too much attention to what I post, but I don't vote for either party most of the time because of the exact nature of their hypocrisy. Both parties talk about restoring freedoms and liberties from one mouth, then do everything they can to take more away. I'm sorry you can't see that. Are the dems worse than the republicans about it? most definitely, but the lesser of two evils is still evil.

There is nothing "partisan" about my view on this, in fact, it is fairly moderate. I favor decriminalization, and giving people the right to use/grow their own if they want to, without risking arrest and confiscation of property in doing so. I don't favor outright legalization, because I don't think we should make legal products out of things that are detrimental to our health, and that's what we'd be doing. The right thinks I am too liberal, and the left thinks I am not liberal enough.

As for the "lesser of two evils" theory, I will put you in the same category as Liberty, you belong in the IDIOT party. What you fail to comprehend is, we live in a two-party system, and one of them is going to be in power. We are not likely to wake up one day, in a world ruled by King SmarterThanYou, where all of your thoughts and ideas are law of the land. That's just not ever likely to happen, so we have to objectively examine the two parties, and decide which is closest to our own personal values. Refusing to be a part of the process is not going to effect one of the two parties from controlling power, however, it certainly can determine which party ultimately controls power. Because you and Liberty support the IDIOT party, Liberals are able to form an alliance with each other and get over their personal ideologies long enough to elect a Democrat, where Republicans are defiantly split and splintered into ideological factions and rendered weak. You voluntarily sitting on the sidelines does nothing but help Democrats retain power. So maybe one of these days, you will get sick of Big Government running every aspect of your life, and you'll wise up?

I see. I guess I'll just place you in the MORON category then for apathetically accepting that lesser of two evils. and you said I was one of those responsible for this countries mess?

no sir, that would be you and every other apathetic two party minded imbecile who thinks that nothing can be changed.

See, Dixie?

If you don't "vote from the rooftops" like the super-duper hatriot here, you're a "sheeple".

Except that DTS is no David Koresh, Randy Weaver, or Tim McVeigh...they actually did something. Something bad, but something.

He doesn't, because he thinks that posting idle threats on the interwebs puts him on a par with the Founding Fathers.

I'm the one who calls BS on your BS. If you need reminding again, I'm here for you.

here's how effective you've been at that.

I don't apathetically accept anything, I am actively trying to reform and change the Republican party from the previous 'compassionate conservative' moderate John McCain philosophy, to actual conservative principles and values of smaller limited government, and I am not alone in this venture.

I don't see "lesser of two evils" at all, I see ONE evil, Socialist Marxist Liberal Progressiveness, and the alternative to that. Maybe the alternative isn't "ideal" but it's a damn sight better than Big Government Socialism. What I don't have going for me, is IDIOCY! I don't have some pie-in-the-sky notion of my personal ideology being embraced by a majority of Americans across the board, and refuse to participate in the political process until that can be made apparent to me. I am willing to do whatever I can to move us in that direction, to effect positive changes which reflect my values, and to defend against the Socialist enemy who seek to literally destroy our nation.

There is a FIGHT happening in America right now, for the very SOUL of our nation! You are on the sidelines sitting on your hands, complaining that it doesn't really matter who wins the fight, because neither side is completely in line with your particular viewpoint.

If actively supporting Libertarian candidates and participating in local TEA activities is sitting on my hands, what do you suggest I do? :pke:

Yeah, I'm sure the rubber ladies appreciate all the tender loving care~~~:clink:

The cool thing about being a plastic surgeon, is that your clients for boob upgrades are insecure, and after you are done working on them, you have a client who is hotter, and still an insecure person. I'm sure they'd be very likely to let you give them extra sympathy, free of charge!!
