I have seen kids pretend to be all sorts of things. They have fun doing so, and they learn about all sorts of different things in the process of their curiosity being sparked. However, they're well aware that they are just pretending and that they aren't REALLY a dog or REALLY a turtle or REALLY an astronaut. They're also not trying to wield any supremacy over others.
