Smith subpoenaed records while investigating 1/6 that were traced to secret organizations that were funding Trump’s efforts to delay Congress’s vote on 1/6. From there they discovered contacts from these organizations to GOP groups and politicians, consequently they subpoenaed the phone records of these eight Senators

No one wire tapped or listen to phone conversations, spied on Chucky, and none of this new, Grassley plaid the same card last month but apparently didn’t generate the attention he wanted, so coordinating with Murdoch, he got to do it again today today accompanied by the theatrics on the TV hearing with Bondi
