While you are supposed to make all your court appointments, it is not uncommon for one or two to be accidentally missed. Mail gets lost, people write down the wrong date, etc. It must have been settled, because for 6 years no one cared. You go to the next court date, and everything is worked out.
Saying this is "illegal" is a little silly, don't you think. trump does not have enough dangerous illegal aliens, so he is picking out aliens who have obeyed all the rules, and grabbing them.
