I think I may have DP confused with Debate Policy... There's Debate Politics and Debate Policy. I believe that Jimmy came up with Debate Policy, he was the creator of USMessageboards though for certain.

USMB used to be pretty good. Then rules were added, and more rules, and more requirements.
I'm on a 90-day ban from there for saying some people need busted right in the mouth.
Well, the facts are, some do.
It's still pretty good. Not as great as it may have been in the past, no bulletin board is these days.
Almost as free as here.

I never did that. I did not do CC fraud, because no. But it was around and some dude gave me like 2200 of them and most worked. I checked.

I was allowed in the MAC room, right? One dude with like 2-3 underlings ran the MAC room, and not everybody could stay in there.
A lot of real information got passed around in there. Somebody new comes in? It all clams up until the new one lets them know who they are.
Beto's gang came in talking smack and they kicked them out and reset all their passwords, like 7-8 accounts in 30 seconds.
It was the most complete AOL smackdown I ever saw in my life.

Debate Politics is awful. Offhand, I forget the names of many of the then-mods, but RedAkston was definitely one of the mods at the time when I was still allowed on there, and Red is actually the specific mod who purposely made a very public spectacle out of my banning from that forum.
In short, the mods there eventually got sick of me and what I had to say about whatever stupid games they were pulling at the time. I was most vocal about it shortly after the very last "fair" moderator left the forum in a blaze of glory, making some "private mod information" public to the forum (and then leaving the forum before getting banned by the other shitty mods). I forget if this was Kal'Stang (his name comes to mind for some reason) or who it actually was, but anyway... over time, the fair moderators kept leaving that forum because of whatever stupid games the other moderators kept pulling.
Shortly after I had said something that especially got under Red's skin, Red started his public spectacle of my banning, stating in one of the threads that I had participated in: "there's a sock amongst us" and he got everyone guessing for a day as to who the sock was. The next day, he banned me from the forum for "having a sock account" even though I have never ever used a sock account on any forum that I have ever participated in.
So due to my own personal interactions with him (and what he eventually did to me on the DP forum), I don't respect Red even one tiny iota.

Yup, that's the only one I've been banned from too.
I've managed NOT to be banned there - over 15 years. But I know most of their games - especially the baiting ritual that mods and their goons use. Ikari particularly has a cadre of goons who are immune to rules and bait anyone right of Mao so that he can ban them.
Ikari has been on that board as a mod at least 15 years.
I can't even recall the post that they claim violated a rule - but it had to be my last one?????

They suspend me pretty regularly - there is only one rule on that board - support the democrat party. And I do violate that rule.
Agree. They banned me several times for reasons which seemed arbitrary.
my last thread was pretty innocuous about drug legalization- and even though I am libertarian not wishing to allow meth to be legal.
when you are banned, you can't even click the link to the inbox for their explanation of why you are banned - the inbox is not allowed for banned members

Yup, that all sounds VERY familiar. The mods couldn't get me on any of that stuff, so once I really got under Red's skin enough, he suddenly decided that I was a "sock account", made a public spectacle out of it, and the next day banned me for it. Like I said, I've never ever used a sock account (I've always been gfm7175, and ONLY gfm7175, on any forum that I've ever been on over the years).
Red just got mad at me and wanted me gone, and didn't have any legitimate "against the rules" reason to ban me, so he suddenly decided that I was "a sock account" (which is against the rules there) and banned me for it because it's an offense that other forum members can't verify for themselves. It's an easy and unverifiable way for them to instantly ban anyone who they don't like for whatever reason.

I got a warning for telling someone, "I disagree with you and do not like the way you are responding. I am putting you on ignore."
I left. If you get a warning for something like that...what possible chance is there for putting out your thoughts in a way that does not get you banned.
They look for people to ban. Like cops having a quota for traffic tickets.
