I’ve read a couple of the reviews from Chronicle columnists, and they said Harris came out swinging with a lot of score settling. Don't know how that will go over if she wants to run again.
She talked about Mayor Pete. She wrote that she wanted to pick him as VP but decided against it because she didn’t think voters would accept a gay running mate. In other words she’s saying people would vote for a Black and Indian woman, but not for a Black and Indian woman if her running mate was gay.
Both writers also noted that Newsom comes across as bolder, while Harris is more cautious. Her VP choice makes that clear.

We know Gavin’s running in 2028. The real action will happen if Harris runs as well.
On the surface, they are friends, but there’s always been a rivalry between the two. They came up at the same time in San Francisco ran in the same circles and had the same donors. Those donors are gonna have to pick between the two.
Given how tribal politics are, it’s interesting when a book like this pulls the curtain back and you see people on the same side going to war with each other.

oh you mean a democratAs for any Harris supporters hoping 107 Days might bring closure or optimism, they will also be sorely disappointed. It may be time for the holdouts to finally take those Harris signs down, because the woman who kept telling voters “we’re not going back” fails to chart any kind of path forward for the United States. In the end, she seems just as helpless as the rest of us.
