Prices were lower under Biden!

For those referencing the second 2020 stimulus, it is a fair argument to say the economy was already on its way to recovery and the extra stimulus wasn’t necessary.

If you take that stance, how do you then justify the 2021 $1.9 trillion stimulus?

Only one broke the camel's back, and we all know which gave that one. The "Biden" Administration then spent 4 years trying to cover that turd in the sandbox and point the finger at anyone but themselves.

We watched Buttigieg fail at Transportation Secretary as goods rotted in the ports and shelves remained empty, too much money on hand with too few goods, the recipe for high inflation and Team Braindead made it happen. Buttigieg was past his point of competence as Mayor, giving him more responsibility just made him fail more spectacularly. Braindead's handlers all together made the one worst presidency of my lifetime happen.

Regardless, the prices won't go down, that's now how "managed inflation" works, the "solution" in a "managed inflation" is to increase wages, which is inflationary as well. So, if you actually ever reach the 2-3% range they aim for, you then incentivize hiring. If everyone who wants a job has one, wages will increase (this increases revenue even with lower taxes).

We need to grow the economy, folks will get better jobs (it's beginning now, despite the Trump tariffs), they'll make more. Trump is playing the "tariffs are fun" game, thankfully America's economy is stronger than even that idiocy.

The man wasn't even at the job, he was busy buying fake boobs to hold bottles taking months and months off. Dude fails at everything he does, and even fails at the "I feel your pain" imagery moments that are easy for others. Just my opinion Damo, economics is an afterthought on this board because what people care about most is the framing of either making the President look good or bad.

We got the level of inflation we did for three reasons.

1) COVID disruptions and global supply chain issues, which were beyond the control of the U.S. (that doesn’t mean the Biden administration did everything right, but it wasn’t all on them)

2) the Fed kept rates too low for too long

3) the 2021 $1.9 trillion stimulus. At that point the economy was already reopening and growth was strong. Even liberal leaning economists warned it was too much and would fuel inflation, and that’s what happened.
 
I am told that as BRICS stops using the dollar in the goods trade those dollars that had been used to settle accounts will come home, and will be inflationary. I am not an economics expert so I cant say this is correct.

Did you notice NOBODY has said a word about Trump not letting any of his people talk to and informing any of the incoming admins people letting them know what they had to do, what they were suppose to do, how to do the job or any info on what was already going on.
Maybe if Trump wasn't such a baby and had let his people give that info to the incoming admin people a lot of things would have gone smoother, just like with the stimulus thing, How would have Biden known another one would be too much when he got jack shit info from the Trump people?
Every other out going President in the history of our country gave that important info to the next admin to make sure of a smooth transfer of power, Trump is the ONLY one that didn't be was too busy acting like a big baby.

You’re right Trump broke precedent by slowing down the transition. But the size of the 2021 stimulus wasn’t because Biden lacked info from Trump’s team. By then the economic picture was clear and plenty of economists, including Democrats like Larry Summers, warned it was too big.

Biden did it because he was fighting the last war. He believed the 2009 Obama stimulus wasn’t big enough to give the economy the boost it needed, so he wasn’t going to make that mistake again. The problem was this time it wasn’t a liquidity issue.
