If we don't allow the government to shut down, eventually, we won't be able to find people/nations willing to advance U.S. even more credit, and the government will shut down anyway. Further investment in a nation already $38T in debt, is a bad choice, so I don't blame our creditors.
That's what happens to a common household or business living outside its means, why should it be any different for a Government?
We either must generate more tax revenue, or spend allot less.
But if we increase Tax rates, economic activity will go down, and Tax Revenue will drop. We are already at the peak revenue tax rate.
We can squeeze for increased productivity, but the producers in our society are already near topped out.
Or... we could cut spending on the Moochers. Like the USAID cuts.
Or... we could cut spending on the Moochers.
It is pretty simple, in the end.

If the Democrats, as they often, even usually, do vote in lockstep against the budget bill, and there are even a few dissenting Republicans, it could fail to pass. I would largely, but not entirely, put the blame on Democrats for their rigid intransigence rather than Republicans who have a few people in their ranks with reservations.
The Democrat party has become one where independence in voting is not just disfavored but punished. Sinema and Manchin were both victims of that. This is a serious problem, like it or not.

Fetterman already said he will vote for whatever the Republicans decide. This will not be a Democratic shutdown. Public polling already indicates that. The Republicans sent a bill. The Democrats asked for a negotiation and a meeting. The Republicans told them to go fuck themselves. Don't get me wrong. A GOP shutdown a little more than a year before the midterm elections will be great for Democratic candidates, but having gone through the effects of a shutdown firsthand multiple times, I know how destructive it is to families, individuals, and services.
It's tough when the only person trying singlehandedly to decide what happens in the country can't always get his way and even tougher when that person is a fat, petulant brat who would rather damage millions of lives than work with his political opponents.

How can I "get you wrong" when you clearly are wrong to begin with? The Democrats of late are no better in that they won't compromise of negotiate with Republicans when they have control of Congress.
