GOP Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday denounced Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr’s threats to pull ABC’s broadcast license as “unbelievably dangerous” and compared some of his rhetoric to “mafioso” tactics.

In an episode of his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” released on Friday, the Texas Republican said he was “thrilled” Jimmy Kimmel was pulled off the air by ABC over his comments about conservative influencer Charlie Kirk. But he said he strongly disagreed with the government policing speech, asserting it could come back to bite conservatives when Democrats retake power.

Wow, look at that! Ted Cruz! I wonder what his angle is - it's definitely not respect for the 1st Amendment. He's got some slimy plan brewing.

"When you demonstrate that you are not actually against so many things you have been strongly condemning for years.........."

Brings back memories of all those decades R's lied to us when asking for our vote, not even trying to do what they promised after they were in office.

Credit to Cruz. He's right. Conservatives shouldn't applaud this just because they can't stand Kimmel.

Ultimately, the story isn't about Kimmel. It's about the FCC.
Carr should have shut up and stood back. There is no "order" given on a podcast, but chiming in poisoned the fruit. ABC would have let the guy go without him going on some podcast with "the hard way or the easy way" nonsense, and now that he has the left is pretending that Kimmel is the victim rather than the guy that got shot for his opinion, Kimmel just got fired for being a dick. He's still rich, he's still alive, and he's still out there telling us all he's the victim.

No matter what you say, the FCC chair's rhetoric and actions were fascist in nature, so give it a rest. Kimmel didn't even say anything about Kirk; he literally just called out right-wing politicians for trying to portray the shooter in a blind partisan manner.

It was a threat.....using the right words is important.

Absolute narrative control is just a part of Zionist brutality.....but Moon was always right that Jews and Zionists are not the same thing......in fact many Zionists are not even Jews.....they are Christians waiting for the Rapture which the Zionists are trying to speed up.

Cruz's reputation has been extensively tarnished as he has become seen as a Zionist hack....I wonder if this is part of a rebranding effort.

Bullshit.

All I'm saying is Western banks and corporations financed Hitler.

It was about a merger that Nextar, a media conglomerate of ABC affiliates needed FCC approval for. They knew Carr wouldn't approve it if they didn't fire Kimmel, @Damocles .

Lots of chatter on my grapevine about how the Brits were more the cause of WW2 than the NAZI's.....apparently this is beyond dispute.
Alex Krainer told Larry Johnson that the London oligarchs own more of the US than US oligarchs. London banks still control empire.
