Matt Dowd was an opinion columnist. It was literally his job to state his opinion. ABC bent it's knee to trump and paid him millions to bribe him into approving their merger. trump is currently suing several news organizations, including Murdock's Wall Street Journal, just for printing news unflattering to trump. Once the 4th estate starts bowing down to evil despots and becoming state-directed, our democracy is lost.
Dowd's firing is the reason I won't watch MSNBC anymore. I wrote their president about it.

MSNBC helped me through some tough years. During the Bush years, MSNBC wasn't afraid to have their pundits state the truth. Then you fired Matthew Dowd for doing just that.
Fast-forward to the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk. MSNBC had the chance to say, "see? This is what violent and hateful rhetoric has given us. Kirk's own hate speech is activating other young men to do the same thing that happened to the Pelosi family and to those lawmakers in Minnesota.
But no, when the time came to step up and speak truth to power? MSNBC caved.
I wish you all the best, after almost 30 years, it will be without me.
