There are fewer jobs than there used to be, which means longer between jobs, and lower paying jobs when you find a job. I had relatives that during the Great Depression went from working 300 days a year to 30 days a year, and getting half as much per day. Yes, there were still jobs, but they were making 95% less a year.
Employees are not interchangeable. If I wanted to open a restaurant, but I knew I could not fill all the positions, I would not open a restaurant. That would mean that there would be no new jobs for anyone. So millions of unfilled jobs means less job openings for everyone else.
It was happening before trump entered office. Society and the economy has changed since the methods for surveying employment were created. The old methods do not work well, and the BLS is seriously understaffed. Not only can they not create new methods, they cannot even do the old methods reasonably well.
They have been more adjusted down than up. But there have been radical adjustments that are bigger than they should be.
If everything is fake news, what is the point anyway? Have you ever seen trump? I mean up close seen him and talked to him? Maybe he does not really exist. Have you ever been to Iraq? How do you know it even exists?
I had relatives during WWII who came out of retirement, or who were housewives who joined the workforce. They saw there was a national emergency, and decided to step up and try to fill the holes in our economy when the younger men went off to war.
The president you elected says there is a national emergency. Now there are crops being left in the field to rot, and factory equipment not being installed. Maybe it is time for you to step up and work, rather than depending on the rest of us to support you in your "retirement"?
