It is getting truly nauseating the way MAGA is treating this incident as if some important world leader was assassinated...

My comment had nothing to do with liking him or not. I responded to your comment: He was not even huge in the party. He was an outlier.
That couldn't be more wrong.
I don't think you are right, we will see which is right.
I think he created a movement, one that actually created space for dialog where previously folks from that side of politics were effectively barred from speaking.

This board is full of retirees and Boomers. His appeal was all with young people and he went around the country speaking on thousands of campuses. Turning Point USA was aimed at the youth, not Gen X or Boomers.
Think about this because its 100% truth. Trump doesn't win without Kirk turning out the youth vote like he did. That is how influential he was.

I don’t watch Fox but neither do many young people. He had millions of followers on social media which is where most young people engage.

The Dems are not portrayed as the opposing party, but as an evil enemy. Yet the Dems govern as presidents have. Trump breaks all the rules, amassing powers the president is not supposed to have. Congress is supposed to levy tariffs according to the Constitution. Over time, Congress has given away a degree of that power. It did not cede it all to the president. Trump bullied the Repub party and took the power.
Right-wing news has used blatant lies to energize their followers. It works great.
