They are. Tax laws are written by the wealthy. Some day you may be able to grasp the concept of oligarchy.

Tax laws are written by politicians and lawyers. The rich just have the ability to exploit loopholes or avoid them. For example, if I were someone rich making say $1.5 million-a-year and not employed by someone but rather a business owner or investor, I can avoid paying FICA to the federal government entirely.

The current rate coming out of someone's paycheck is 13.85% for that. If I'm rich and not getting my money from a JOB I don't pay that tax at all. Of course, that means I might not be eligible for Social Security or Medicare, but I'm rich so I don't give a fuck because I don't need those.
 
Real fascism includes:

Government allowing monopolies among large corporations
Government dictating what gets made and by whom
The workforce being under government control. If unions are allowed, they have to work with the government. If the government decides employment conditions, then workers have to meet all government requirements for employment, like for example, mandatory vaccinations.
Public service and military service are mandatory with a draft in place. Example: Americorps.
Most social services are socialized like universal government run healthcare, retirement, vacation benefits, and the like.
Government controls media, like installing a "Disinformation Governance Board" to monitor speech and remove any deemed against the government.
Travel is tightly controlled.
Public education is mandatory and alternatives, for the most part, don't exist except for the ultra-rich.
Education in general, including at the university level is as much about indoctrination and propaganda was learning.
Persecution of disfavored groups with mandatory education in theories to further this are mandatory, like CRT, DEI, and the like.
High taxation is the norm.
Public transit is favored over personal travel means.

You are describing Democrats. Well, you can't. It's why Democrats are getting voted out, and in some cases, prosecuted for their crimes.

Indeed it is. The only thing unequal about capitalism is the initiative to go out and make money. Anyone can play the game of capitalism. Anyone can make money, if only they have the will to do so.

Socialism is based on theft. That's why it doesn't work and it only spreads misery.
Socialism cannot even exist unless capitalism is nearby to steal from. Once it runs out of places to steal from, it collapses.
