Truer words have not been spoken on this board. For most the fun isn't debate, it's being on a team and taking shots at the other side.
There's also a community angle. Take the War Zone. There's more discussion of the weather and gardening than politics. It feels like a retirement community center where folks catch up.
It's an interesting dynamic for sure. Same small group, same discussions, year after year. But we all seem to enjoy it enough to keep showing up.
