There are certain posters, I try to avoid interacting with because they believe and spout insane lies. Its like discussing with a chat box that was programed to say whatever OAN News or Laura Loomer tells them.

HHS testified before Congress that 448,000 unaccompanied children entered the US during the Biden administration and were placed with unvetted or nearly unvetted guardians or adults. Of those 22,600 and change have been tracked down to who they were placed with. 27 have died since being placed, mostly under questionable circumstances, and 400+ of those they were placed with have been arrested on serious felony charges related to the care of the child.

So, you are FULL OF SHIT. This is a major Biden fuck up and there's no way around that.

The source Lionfish used is questionable, but the gist of the story is accurate. CBS played fast and loose with the facts on a number of occasions now with regard to the Trump administration and got caught. The courts (note the plural) sided with the administration and CBS decided the best way to handle it was to fire some staff and settle with a pile of cash.

CBS's credibility as a news source re the Trump administration is, as a result, questionable at best.

There are plenty of sources you can look up in all of 15 seconds like I did that confirm it, if you like.

Yeah, it’s unfortunate that those 27 out of 450,000 died. Do you know the statistics on teen death in the regular population?

I didn’t drill down much, but I suspect the vast majority went to family. If there was abuse in those 400 kids out of 450,000, those people need to be prosecuted. It didn’t say what kind of abuse, did it? Or whether there have been 400 found guilty. What is the incidence of child abuse by non-parents in the general population? Much lower than 1:1000?

[Edit] Nevermind, I looked up the incidence of child abuse in the US. It’s 7.4 per 1000. So, 400 per 450,000 is much lower than the national average.

That's 27 out of 22,600 investigated so far. Those 27 are questionable deaths like murder, suicide, drug overdoses, etc. 400+ adults responsible for those kids have been charged with serious felonies related to their treatment of the child in their custody. You want to split hairs about whether they've been found guilty or not?

You do know that less than 1% of federal criminal defendants go to trial and that 91.4% of those end up being found or plea out guilty. So, the likelihood is that like 399 of those cases are going to be guilty verdicts one way or another.

Yeah, I know. It’s tragic that anyone died. That’s 27 out of the 450,000 total and 22,600 investigated. Or so you say.

The overall child abuse rate is 7.4 per 1000. This one, if the stats hold, is about 1 per 1000.

The teen death rate is about 58 per 100,000. So, we have 27 per 450,000 here. Yep, they may find more, but they’re going to have to find a shit ton more to match the US average.

We would love the stats to be that low for the general population, so try not to blow them out of proportion
