And as it turns out, President Biden was in WAY better physical and mental condition than Trump is all along

The Democrats didn't really have another viable candidate.

Even if Harris had had more time to prepare, it's not likely she'd have beaten trump.
The DNC hasn't been interested in any REAL political progress for a LONG time. This is why they conspired with the Reagan GOP to screw Nader, then they sandbagged Sanders (I can't immediately remember the others over the years). Since both parties' drink from the same donor trough, I can expect nothing more than "the lesser of 2 evils" each POTUS election cycle.

They should have done what they were told and sucked tulsi gabbard's nuts dry like prison sluts. CAA are some buttfking idiots....

And make no mistake, trump getting shot is the only reason any other human being on earth could lose to trump and his shit storm of a campaign.

Goddamn that was a tough 8 goddamned years. It was a lot more fun after that tho....

I don't see it that way

People like Nader and Sanders put their own political aspirations ahead of what was good for the country and helped cause Dem candidates to lose elections, even though neither of them had a chance to win had they gotten nominated.

I think that the problem the Dems are currently faced with, is that the progressive wing wants to drag them too far to the left and advocate causes that too many centrists and independents want nothing to do with.

Personally I "thank" (blame) the extreme left for trump being in office.

Partially anyway.

The ignorant scum on the far right obviously shoulders most of the blame.

Bull-Fucking-Shit!

Nader was the ONLY candidate with a 30 year history of NOTHING BUT PUBLIC SERVICE, and who was NOT beholden to any PAC or donors. He may well have not won the election, but he had met the criteria to be included in the final debate between the candidates. At the 11th hour, the Dems and GOP changed the rules, barring him from the debate. Had he been on that stage, the American public would have been given privy to facts and ideology that the other two candidates could not handle ... thus changing the narrative and PERHAPS setting the stage for the next mid-term elections and future presidential elections.

Sanders had a lock on the "youth vote" .... the largest demographic in the country. When he got sandbagged in California by the DNC, people were ready to riot, but he called for calm and to endorse the chosen party candidate.

Hillary had WAY too much baggage and not enough real personal political history to cinch the popular and electoral vote. Trumps race baiting campaign won the day.

It wasn't the "extreme left" to blame, but the status quo DNC. Remember, Sanders was considered "extreme" and was dumped. As I said before, and I think you agree that Biden should NEVER had been allowed to run for a 2nd term.

But, history is history and (God help us) here we are.

Agreed on all points. Most Americans, IMO, dislike being caught in the middle of a tug-of-war between the political extremes of both the Democrats and Republicans. While both parties are responsible for their chosen candidates, the numbers tell a different story. The largest block of American voters feel neither party represents national interests.

When 70% of Americans* don’t want to be either Democrats or Republicans, that’s a huge indicator the two major parties are better at taking care of themselves than their duties to their constituents.

*30% Democrats + 40% Independents = 70% don’t want to be Republicans. Likewise 30% of Republicans + 40% Independents = 70% don’t want to be Democrats.

You're entitled to your opinion.

Naive and short-sighted as it is.

He served no purpose other than as a spoiler who put his own ambitions and agenda above what the best outcome for the nation would be. And BTW, ultra conservative, Reform Party candidate Pat Buchanan was also barred from the 2000 debate but I don't see you complaining about that.
Sanders had a lock on the "youth vote" .... the largest demographic in the country. When he got sandbagged in California by the DNC, people were ready to riot, but he called for calm and to endorse the chosen party candidate.
BFD. The youth vote and $5 would've gotten him a regular coffee at Starbucks.

Hillary still kicked his ass in the primaries throughout the western half of the country.
Hillary had WAY too much baggage and not enough real personal political history to cinch the popular and electoral vote. Trumps race baiting campaign won the day.
Trump had plenty of baggage too. Had the rainbow alphabet pansies and Bernie babies gotten off their asses and voted for her rather than staying home pouting because life told them they can't always get everything they demand (something their parents obviously failed to teach them), we may well have had our first woman President and not be mired neck deep in the trumpshit we are today.

Sanders was extreme because he pandered to the far looney left with his utopian, pie-in-the-sky ideas that hadn't a chance in hell of ever making it through Congress.
But, history is history and (God help us) here we are.
Yes, here we are.

Thanks for nothing, progressive panty-pissers.
