Little vindictive man

trump wants to spend hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars on petty revenenge.

Yep. So far DOGE has "saved" millions by laying off thousands. Meanwhile, the #FatFascistFelon is spending those "savings" on vanity birthday military parades, redecorating the WH to resemble a brothel, changing the names of stuff which entails massive expenditures for everything from forms and stationery to repainting ships and buildings, and so on.

trump loves to save millions by waisting billions. Well "moving" Cheyenne Mountain Complex would cost hundreds of billions.

Colorado is a terrible place to have an air force or space force headquarters because of harse winters and harsh flying conditions. Plus Colorado tried to throw Trump off the ballot. FAFO . The Democrats played dirty first now Trump has taken the gloves off.
Colorado has harsh winters? They might have in some higher elevations, but not overall.

Alabama is at risk for tornados and hurricanes.

Planes do not fly out of the headquarters. The headquarters of the Air Force and Space Force are in Colorado, because it is pretty much the center of the country/continent, so will be the last place hit. Hundreds of billions of dollars has been spent on developing command structures there.

Besides, the conditions that planes fly in are colder than Colorado. You get any real altitude, and it gets really cold.

About half of our B-52's fly out of Minot, North Dakota, which is noticeably colder than places like Denver.

It is best to get out of bad ideas as soon as one figures out that the idea is bad.

The big debate on having our air force academy was focused on weather. Having better flying weather is important. Many in the AF think having the AF academy in Colorado Springs is a mistake.

The US has 44 B52 in Louisiana and 26 in North Dakota. I suspect they may have put some of our B52 in ND because they wanted to get them away from large population centers in case of attack.

Regardless we have more of our space related assets in the South so having the headquarters near the assets is important. Having better weather is just another plus.

It would be very bad if our Air Force could only fly in good flying weather. It would not be much of nuclear deterrent if a little snow could keep it from flying. All the Soviets would have had to do was attack the USA in a snow storm.

But even if the Air Force could not fly in rain, NORAD would still be in Colorado. NORAD is under a mountain, where there is no weather, nor any planes. Command centers are not air fields.

No, it is because they needed them to be far from the coast. Picture a USSR nuclear submarine a few hundred miles off the coast. It can hit DC in under 5 minutes. If NORAD is in DC, we have lost all air defense in 5 minutes.
