Damo - it's pretty funny that this is the very first link that comes up in Google when you type in "Obama blames Bush for BP".

You've become very disingenuous. I'm talking about a characterization of the Obama admin as "blaming Bush," which anyone who follows the news on a daily basis - as you do - would not make, if they were being objective.

But still, you saw fit to try to find something - anything - to back up the claim, so you hit google.

Actually I just typed "Blame Bush BP"... I read through several links.

However, (what I didn't post), there were links of Obama saying, (Paraphrasing) "For a decade or more there's been a 'cozy' relationship..."

People are using that to say he's blaming Bush. Nancy is a hack, pointing it out is always enjoyable.

Oncelor is a blind fool, him blaming Bush is only a tiny element of the discontent. But I think he made his own bed of Katrina faux outrage now he must sleep in it.

I just think it's funny that - instead of rendering an opinion based on what you know on this event & the admin's reaction to it, which I imagine is quite a bit - you try to find something to back up a claim which you know is a mischaracterization at best.

It just shows some partisan colors, is all...

If I were trying to "back up a claim", rather than wanting to make fun of Pelosi, I would have posted the video that keeps appearing from a different poster.

Your criticism is a bit off today, try harder. Criticizing somebody for being partisan on a politics website is like criticizing somebody for searching with Google.

You think the fines are going to be larger than any penalty they will have to pay when this is all over?

I bet BP is really worried about some pitiful four figure fines they might have to pay for bringin in those arms against the instructions of the EPA AFTER they pay eight-to-ten figures for cleaning up the spill.

Do you not think if they DID bring in these arms and helped speed up the clean up that they wouldn't be hailed as heroes by the people of SE Louisiana and probably cut some slack by the EPA?

The government wouldn't have to pay any "fines" at all if Obama were doing his job. They had to get permission for the booms, they had to get permission for the berms, they had to get permission for the dome, for the top fill, for the cork, for the new dome...

They've had tape at every step of the way that Obama could have been easing their way through...

Instead he's out promoting his cap and scheme tax plan while getting ready to almost start "kicking ass" after somebody points him in the right direction for the leg swing and writes a speech for him to read about how he's almost started "kicking ass" and has begun to "swing his leg"... But first, another meeting with Paul McCartney to pave his way towards the right "ass kicking" vector.
