They WERE leverage - were because most have been rescinded as the countries involved negotiated trade deals to stop fucking America under.
If tariffs are too high the exporting / importing companies are NOT going to be able to eat all of them and will pass some of them ( if not all of them ) on to the consumer and as I have said before IMO some entities in between the manufacture and the consumer will be adding a percent or two on to those tariffs to pad their bottom line and all this is just going to raise the price of things we buy and hurt our economy.
Prices have already started going up and NOT ALL of Trumps tariffs have worked their way through the supply chain.

They do not care how they affect Americans, if Americans being richer makes them richer they will not care, Americans will be richer. If making Americans poorer helps their bottom line more they will do what it takes to make their bottom line better.

Read the Democrat's For the Voter's and John Lewis Voter's acts as written. Both undermine honest elections entirely. Trump whines about elections being "fraudulent," but has really done nothing to change how our elections are held.
Banning mail-in elections or requiring paper ballots really changes nothing. They don't make our elections less fair or less honest.
By comparison, the Democrats (under the aforementioned legislation) tried to enact:
Making it virtually impossible to remove someone from voter rolls for any reason
Eliminate voter ID entirely
Register 16 and 17 year-olds to vote but (wink wink) they have to wait until they're 18 to actually vote.
Allow unlimited ballot harvesting
Expand the length of time for mail-in voting
Make automatic sending of mail-in ballots to every registered voter
Make voter registration automatic when you get a driver's license or state ID
All that makes for massive potential voter fraud that is virtually undetectable. But the Democrats want that.

The story begins with a simple truth: Americans are happiest, healthiest, and most stable when their lives are anchored in enduring values. In 2016, the Pew Research Center found conservatives—especially those in rural and suburban communities—reporting greater life satisfaction than liberals in urban areas, where costs are higher and cultural pressures more intense. The lesson is straightforward. Conservatism roots people in tradition, family, and community, while progressivism drives them into fragmented, unstable lifestyles concentrated in cities where alienation is rampant.
Economic data reinforce this divide. By 2018, metropolitan areas dominated by Democratic leadership were suffering from stark polarization. The Washington Post reported that middle-class families were increasingly priced out of blue strongholds, while red-state suburbs and rural towns attracted those seeking affordability and long-term stability. This was not just an economic story. It was a cultural one. People voted with their feet, moving toward communities aligned with conservative values.
By 2019, the trend accelerated. Millennials flocked to red-state metros in Texas and Georgia, escaping the crushing taxes and regulations of New York and California. The Atlantic noted that such migration reflected growing dissatisfaction with liberal policies. Families were leaving behind once-thriving blue cities not because they disliked urban living, but because progressive governance had made it unaffordable and unlivable.
The momentum continued into 2020. Brookings Institution data showed red states outperforming blue states in per capita income growth and job creation. Conservative-led regions were gaining traction precisely because they emphasized freedom, low taxes, and regulatory restraint, while progressive areas languished under bloated government interference. Progressivism was failing not in theory but in real-time practice.

Such rhetoric alienated ordinary people who took pride in their nation’s heritage.
