People are loving being able to be out and about...knowing that criminals are being rounded up...
They can sleep at night without having to hear gun shots...They can drive up to a red light and wait for it to change with their windows down...
DC is getting their streets back...their communities back...
Who would be afraid to go out to eat or to the movies now? Or to a museum...or to shop?

I have no plans to visit DC in the foreseeable future. Many people will make the same decision because of the military presence.

The 1878 Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the military from being used as a police force. An exception would be a governor calling the guard in a particular state for civil unrest. Now, Trump is in charge of the DC Guard, but it appears he’s federalizing other state guard units under the guise of insurrection, massive civilian unrest or some such bullshit. He will probably get away with all of it because of the vagueness of his authority. DC is nothing more than a testing ground for him to further his authoritarian agenda.

Nope. The overwhelming majority of residents are against the military presence. And businesses are also taking a hit.

Why would someone be afraid to dine or shop ? The streets are so much safer now...that's a very good thing...
Look at the arrests and confiscation of illegal guns, just to begin with...
The kids aren't hijacking cars at 3 AM...I mean, there's nothing bad about this...

Sorry, I can’t help you with your blinders. The locals are overwhelmingly opposed to the military presence.

You can think what you want. The surveys from people who track dining out reservations and the such say otherwise.
