Following the criminal referrals handed down for Seditious Conspiracy after the reveal by DNI Gabbard showing the attempted coup ordered by ex-president Barack Obama against Donald Trump; Attorney General Pam Bondi has empaneled a Grand Jury to hand down formal indictments against the coup plotters, including former president Obama.

The Grand Jury is empaneled in the state of Florida to avoid the conflict of interest that occurs in Washington DC.

I seriously doubt Obama will be indicted. Instead, a bunch of underlings will be. If they're convicted, Obama is simply made complicit by that and left to have his legacy ruined one more way.

It's up to the GJ now. He is named as one of the conspirators.

I still think Trump would be wise to issue a preemptive pardon for Obama, before a potential indictment is handed down. For one thing, it shows the clear difference between the fascist thug democrats and a real leader.

I am curious as to what crime they are alleging as a reason to empanel this grand jury.
The US has a 5 year statute of limitations except for capital crimes.
Federal law requires that grand juries be empaneled to investigate crimes.

What crimes could anyone be indicted for in 2025 for anything they committed in 2016? Federal statute of limitations is 5 years except for capital crimes. No one will be indicted for the anything.

This is nothing but a waste of DOJ resources if it actually happens.
It will likely violate US law and US DOJ policy.

Most people view what Obama and his goons did as treason, but in fact it is sedition since it did not directly involve foreign nations during times of war.

Since then Brennen, Comey, et al., have testified before congress repeatedly--as one example. During their testimony it is now clear they were lying their asses off and there's now documentation proving it.

Of course, I suppose they could change the statute of limitations and retroactively apply it like New York state did to Trump--twice--to get convictions...

ROFLMAO. Conspiracy does NOT apply to all crimes. Then the conspiracy laws require an overt act to further the conspiracy. Concealing is not an overt act and concealing is not a crime under federal law.
The funny thing about your argument is it means that everyone involved with Jan 6 attack on the Capitol could be charged with conspiracy at any time in the future because they are involved in a conspiracy to claim it wasn't a crime.

The third one could possible be used to claim there is an ongoing conspiracy to defraud the US government but it leaves the Trump administration and everyone working in it open to prosecution if courts allow such use of the law. Can political appointees doing the bidding of a Presidential administration be guilty of defrauding the US government? If yes then Bondi is going to spend a lot of time in jail.
