I don't know. I think of her having to listen to that droning voice of his for 40 years and I cannot believe she lasted this long.

I don't want to be reminded of Al Gore anymore. I don't need any flashbacks to 2000. Could there have been a worse slate of candidates in the entire history of our Republic? Dumb and Dumber vs Brain Dead and the Cardiac Cowboy.

I'm still not sure who won that election in 2000 but I sure as hell know who lost!

One of the most amazing moments of my life was watching Frank absolutely school those moronic old fossils on why they were wrong.

That a shaggy haired "rock n roll" musician could stand toe to toe with ideological Senators and Congressmen and point out flaw after flaw in their reasoning was just sensational.

What I remember about Zappa's appearing before congress was how polite and condescending they were towards them and then the shock on their face when they realized they had a tiger by the tail.

He was afraid that his albums would require adult approval before they could be purchased. Like an "R" rated movie... I've never figured out why they had such an issue with this. It made their albums more provocative... Kids would find a way to get them. It's like Free Advertising.

Shoot, Twisted Sister specifically thanked her on their next album... They knew that without her they'd never have been as big as they were.

I agree with all of that, but the fear was unfounded.

This was never "censorship" - I thought it was embarassing that opponents kept using that term.

Beyond that, I would have no problem with requiring adult approval for some albums. Should there be no "R" rating on movies? I don't see the difference.
