Should we repeal "Don't ask, don't tell?"

Should we repeal this atrocity?

Now queers want to change that.

Whether someone commits sodomy or not has no bearing on their fitness to serve in the US Military.

Its not just the gays who want to change the DADT rule. It passed the House by a significant margin, including republicans.

Of course they do. Other articles changed the same way were against black people serving in the same battalions as whites, etc.

The reality is, the UCMJ can be changed with a stroke of a Presidential Pen and without need to make new civilian laws. Obama needs to man up and make decisions.

You can't compare a rule aimed against a specific lineage with one against all person's behavior.

I have a much older brother and he influenced me badly on this matter during my formative years. The man is still an ignorant liberal.
And YOU are the great american? So great you can't even man up and take the responsiblity of not serving on yourself. It is some formless liberal brother's fault you didn't serve. That whole personal responsibility thing gets lost when you are the chickenhawk. It's your brother's fault your a chickenhawk.

Actually you can. If such were not the case the arguments against/for such a thing wouldn't be so similar. The reality is, whether it is for something innocuous, like what they do in privacy, or something more obvious, like a pigmentation, "rights" are always argued on the same plane. One group tries to deny the rights due to "tradition" the other side says something like, "Your 'traditions' are not reason to deny anybody their 'rights'.."

So forth.

Pretending that the arguments cannot be shown to be similar because somebody else has different pigmentation is an attempt to silence debate, it is the equivalent of a lefty shouting "racism" each time somebody mentions a TEA Party protest.

I take full responsibility of decisions that I have made, Ass Licker. I simply gave you the reason that I made such a poor decision.

Yes you were too fucking stoopid to think for yourself. It was all your brother's fault. You were young and impressionable. Blah blah blah. I workd on Barges for 3 years before I joined the Army. There was NOTHING to stop you from joining later, other than your own selfish nature. Joining the military served no purpose for you and that is all that matters for you. You are the great american. All someone has to do is ask YOU if they don't believe it. All hail Southern Man the Great American.....Moron.

That's pure bullshit Damo. Article 125 applies uniformly to all members of the military. Because some group tries to equate it with racism is meaningless. Causation does not equal correlation.

You're obviously too obsessed with your own failures and jealousy of what I have achieved to have an intelligent conversation. For months now all you have done is make baseless allegations, and when confronted, back down. You are a pitiful loser.

But Article 125 is not applied uniformly. Two guys from my Platoon in Basic Training were caught getting blown by two females from the female platoon and were only giving summary article 15's. They lost no pay, no rank and only had 15 days extra duty. They weren't even accused under article 125, they were charged with disobeying a direct order, that of staying away from female trainees.

I have not backed down. You are a chickenhawk that was either too scared or too stoopid to join the military. You SAY your brother talked you out of it, so I will go with too stoopid...to think for yourself. I successfully completed my service, and was honorably discharged. You refused to even step up and be a man. "ooooo my brother, the evil liberal, made me stay out of the army." But you think all able bodied males should have to serve. Typical of an egocentric asshole, to want to MAKE people do those things he didn't do and is now to old to do.

So? You should be axing the military to apply rules uniformly.

You'll back down as you always do, Ass Licker.

Again with baseless allegations. I never said my brother was evil, just stupid, nor did I say that he talked me out of it. If he had I would have definitely enlisted.

Damn you make pwnership too easy. :)

So much easier to say you WOULD have enlisted then when you don't have to put your money where your mouth is. When it comes to where the rubber met the road you were all flat. But that is ok, you weren't thinking for yourself then. It was your IGNORANT brother, whom you listened to and did what he said you should do, which is why none of this is your fault and you are a great american and the rest of us don't care about America.

LOL that you repeat a baseless allegation even after you've been schooled:

...nor did I say that he talked me out of it. If he had I would have definitely enlisted.

YOu have schooled me on NOTHING. You have made up all myriad of excuses for why you didn't sign up. You once upon a time said you didn't enlist because there was no war going on, now you got some bad advice from your liberal brother when you were impressionable. Blah blah blah. You didn't enlist because there is nothing bigger than you. You are the be all and end all of your world and enlisting in the military would have shattered your image of yourself.

WTF? You have dodged the topics so often you can't even begin to claim you are having an intelligent conversation. And the points you keep repeating have been shot down so many times you would think you would stop using them.

What a joke.

There wasn't a war going on at the time, douche bag. And again, my brother never advised me at all.

You are quite dense.
