The Tea app was intended to help women date safely. Then it got hacked

404 Media, which reported the breach, said it was 4Chan users who discovered an exposed database that "allowed anyone to access the material" from Tea.

Tea, a provocative dating app designed to let women anonymously ask or warn each other about men they'd encountered, rocketed to the top spot on the U.S. Apple App Store this week. On Friday, the company behind the app confirmed it had been hacked: Thousands of images, including selfies, were leaked online.

So a womens only app that allowed them to dox men that they felt 'disrespected' them gets hacked....now all the women users pictures and personal information has been released and they're upset
 
I have mixed opinions about Tea. On one hand identifying jerks so women don't get burned by them is a good thing. But assuming the guy is always at fault is a bad thing. There are a lot of crazy vengeful women out there that would blast a good guy just because he sensed their craziness and ghosted her or even politely dumped her. There is no good way to know whether a woman is being accurate or just vengeful.

can you imagine the outrage if somehow a mens only website was put together to post all the women who were whores/gold diggers/single moms??????????
 
I was never worried about what former girlfriends would say about me.

I don't see a problem for people of any gender sharing information about former partners who were serial abusers, cheaters, and scumbags.

If you've been choosing women who would blatantly lie about you raping them, cheating on them, assaulting them, you haven't been vetting and choosing partners well.

As with everything else in life, one weighs the balance of evidence and the credibility of the testimony. Except for exceptionally rare instances, one crazy chick should not ruin your life. You surely have dozens of other people who can vouch for you.

and yet when women are told that they need to properly vet the men they date, we get told that it's not their fault that men are so skilled at deception.....................

maybe you should stop being an apologist for women being ruled by their emotion

no. actually I can't. I don't think anyone would have any problem at all with such a site. It would backfire though, plenty of men would sign up to find them, not to avoid them

Why does this upset you so much? You claimed for years to support the Constitution. Why do you want to strip women of their First Amendment rights?
