US drone crew blamed for Afghan civilian deaths

KABUL, Afghanistan – U.S. military investigators found that "inaccurate and unprofessional" reporting by U.S. operators of a Predator drone was responsible for a missile strike that killed 23 Afghan civilians in February, according to a report released Saturday.

Release of the scathing report is part of a U.S. effort to counter rising public anger over civilian deaths, which threatens to undermine the campaign against the Taliban at a critical juncture in the nearly nine-year war. Twelve other civilians including a woman and three children were wounded in the missile strike, the report said.

Good lord - what a broken record. Go to Huffpost or DailyKos - there are plenty of anti-war people there, still railing. I passed the usual anti-war protest corner near my town today, and there were more people there today than have been there in the past 7 years.

Do you just immediately post "where is the left's outrage" as soon as you see and post a story? Do you actually look around first to see if there is any reaction?

When Bush was President, the drone crew would not have been blamed in the first place, it would have been 100% Bush's fault....the left would have been calling for his arrest and conviction as a war criminal....

Here is my outrage....
I'm outraged that those bastards can ambush, shoot at and kill US troops, then throw down their guns and walk away in safety because they instantly become unarmed civilians.....and under the rules of engagement, US troops cannot fire on unarmed civilians .... else you see what happens to those US troops that "kill unarmed" civilians....

They risked being charged with "murder" , while on the front of Huffpost, you have 6 pages of angry comments from the "unAmerican" left.
And here at home their President ignores the ceremonies at Arlington on Memorial Day and goes to play golf ....
