The Daily injustice report vol. 8

* A Paola Kansas police officer was arrested on a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The alleged victim is a relative of unspecified age.
finally some seriousness out of something like this. The individual charged is being held on a million dollar bond.

* Records released from the Clackamas County Oregon sheriff’s department show internal affairs staff didn’t follow standard procedures when they didn’t notify the district attorney of their investigation into domestic violence allegations made against a deputy. That deputy when on to kill his wife, two other women, and then himself at a local bar 9 months after that investigation.
This is why we don't let the police police themselves. This case alone should be all any community needs to empower citizen oversight boards and all the authority needed to hire, fire, and discipline it's officers.

* A Wildwood New Jersey police sergeant was sentenced to 5 years after he was convicted of official misconduct by a jury trial for kicking 2 handcuffed suspects in the head in a way the judge found was “measured, calculated, and unprovoked”.
free on bail while his case is appealed. at least 6 officers testified against the convicted officer. The judge opted to waive the provisions of a state law that requires a five-year mandatory minimum term of imprisonment without parole for public officials convicted of second-degree crimes. typical.

* Two Las Vegas Nevada police officers are under investigation after witnesses accused them of using excessive force when they slammed a man’s head into a door and then beat him while he was handcuffed while they were responding to a noise complaint.

* A Pennsylvania State trooper is the subject of a lawsuit alleging that he followed, harassed, and falsely arrested members of family that had spoken out against police abuses and the state police.

* Two Chicago Illinois police officers are accused of tasering a man at least 5 times after pulling him over due to a faulty warrant mixup over a misspelled name. His wife said they had just finished with the traffic stop and were leaving when the police stopped them again and immediately attacked her husband. The made several charges against the man including assault and resisting, but the wife insists he never did a thing to deserve being jumped and then tasered several times while cuffed.
it will be interesting to see if any dashcam footage was made or survives for the impending lawsuit....unless the city settles another abuse lawsuit.

* Oakland California plans to settle a lawsuit for $40,000 to a man who was shot in the leg while he was urinating at the side of a home by a cop who mistook him for an armed drug dealing suspect.

* The New Orleans Louisiana police officer who resigned yesterday has now been charged for his role in the Danziger Bridge shooting cover up ahead of a possible plea deal.
no word yet if resigning before he was charged will result in him keeping his pension

* Seaside Heights New Jersey has settled an excessive force lawsuit for $55,000 to a man who was tackled, cuffed, and then “grabbed by his groin and genitalia and thrown into the side of a police van.” The suit was the 3rd to be settled out of 6 that have been filed within a single year and there are currently 8 such brutality suits still pending against the department.
how many more settlements will the citizens pay for before they decide to start firing and indicting these officers?

* An Uplands Park Missouri police officer is the subject of a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from a car chase-related accident that killed an innocent woman. The officer in question was uncertified and had a criminal record yet was still placed on patrol by the city.
what are the standards for being a cop in that city again?

* A Putnum County New York deputy was found guilty of seven perjury charges related to an animal cruelty case. The conviction comes while the officer is still awaiting trial over a separate $56k worker’s compensation fraud case.

* A Lafayette Louisiana police officer caught on cellphone video shaking a teen girl and then threatening to take the phone from the person who recorded it was found to have violated policy and will face as of yet unspecified disciplinary action.
two incidents of assault and at least one incident of deprivation of civil rights under color of law is only a policy violation? sad.

* Maricopa County Arizona sheriff Arpaio and the now ex-county attorney Thomas are now the subject of a claim filed by a superior court judge alleging abuse of powers for when they laid out false charges against the judge in apparent retaliation for calling a deputy in contempt for reading a defendant’s attorney/client documents.
The feds need to step up and deal with this.

* A Des Plaines Illinois police officer is accused of needlessly killing a family’s beagle-spaniel mix dog while he entered their home in response to a non-issue domestic call made by a relative who had apparently forgotten their keys. The family called the dog the worst guard dog ever because it was so passive, but the cop claims it was a vicious little killer and he was deathly afraid for his life.
Those deadly beagles. tsk tsk.

* A Waco Texas Independent School District police officer was suspended for 3 days after violating policy by shooting a car that was driven by a drunk student.

* A Marlow Oklahoma police officer was indicted on two counts of perjury for allegedly lying about tampered tapes, missing meth, and being outside of his jurisdiction.

* A Wilson North Carolina police officer is on leave while under investigation for a single vehicle accident involving his patrol car while he was off-duty.

* And finally, a West Virginia State trooper has been suspended while he’s under investigation for crashing his patrol car into a guardrail and then going missing for 4 hours afterward while still on duty. The trooper was found 4 hours later, drinking at a fire hall he used to work at. Apparently he was trying to use that as a cover for being drunk when he crashed.

tell me, USF, do these line of duty deaths even come close to excusing the criminal behavior of the majority of police officers?

See, that's where you fuck up.

By "majority" you are saying that 51% of all Police Officers are corrupt; because if you are, you need to post some figures that support your presumption.
Unless you just want to bitch and moan; which means that I'll help you find that sugar teat to suck on.

Time to put up or shut up; which are you going to do, because they are THOUSANDS of Police Officers and all you've done is cherry pick.

here is my issue with it. for every one of these stories that actually make the light of day, how many don't because of the 'thin blue line'. How many officers 'cover' for their brothers in blue? On top of that, one of the stories that has been covered lately actually has the local station refusing to air the story so they don't lose money from the PD for a 'most wanted' section.

so yes, when I say majority, i'm talking over 51%. There are decent 'peace' officers out there, but do they shut their mouths over misconduct? Do they actively cover up their fellow officers misconduct? Even if they do, are they threatened with retaliation from their superiors or colleagues if they don't shut the hell up? Yes, even not disclosing misconduct makes you a part of it.

Can I conclusively show that a majority of officers are corrupt? of course not and nobody will ever be able to. It's a measure of the system. The 'state' has too much power and authority and can hide their dirty laundry, but saying that it obviously doesn't exist if you can't prove it is bullshit too.

And using your convoluted logic:

THE MAJORITY OF HISPANICS are drug dealers and murders; because there is proof that Hispanics have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Hispanics are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF BLACKS are gang bangers and murders; because there is proof that Blacks have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Blacks are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF ASIANS are involved in the slave trade; because there is proof that Asians have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Asians are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF WHITES are involved in the racial hatred; because there is proof that Whites have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Whites are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF JEWS are involved in the stealing money; because there is proof that Jews have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Jews are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF ITALIANS are involved in the mob; because there is proof that Italians have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Italians are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF THE IRISH are involved in the being alcoholics and wife beaters; because there is proof that the Irish have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest the Irish are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF MUSLIMS are terrotists; because there is proof that Muslims have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Muslims are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF GERMANS are Nazis; because there is proof that Germans have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest Germans are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE where you live are cocksuckers; because there is proof that people where you live have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest people where you live are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

THE MAJORITY OF *WHOEVER* are involved in the *pick an illegal activity*; because there is proof that *whoever* have been involved in this kind of behavior and it's probable that many honest *whoever* are keeping guiet about it, either because they are being threatened if they don't shut up.

I guess I'll have to agree with that unfailing logic of yours. :good4u:

k. so much for civil discussion because you're pissed off about being offended by how I dare to impugn your precious law enforcement officers.

i'll just continue my campaign of enlightenment to the abuse of LEOs why you try to mitigate it with your pissy diatribe of dead cops because they fucked up.

No-no-no-no-no!!
Don't run away, just because I used your logic to show how stupid your logic is!!
And you didn't want a "CIVIL DISCUSSION", you just wanted someone to buy into your convoluted thinking.

Please stick around and defend it; or be a coward and continue to try and lie your way into someone believing you.
Your choice and I wonder which one you'll choose??

By the way; how's that cocksucking going that you are obviously doing, seeing as how some of your State is into cocksucking?? :good4u:

I'm not running anywhere, bitch. I gave you a shot, you're too busy blowing your badged gods that you didn't give a shit I gave you an opportunity for civil debate.

By the way; how's that cocksucking going that you are obviously doing, seeing as how some of your State is into cocksucking?? :good4u:
i'm not the one blowing the cops, bootlicker.

I will continue to expose every law breaking jack booted thug I can find and I don't give a damn how many of your fantasy lovers are killed in action. As far as I'm concerned, they are all one in the same. Your beloved badged thugs will continue to think they are above the law, AND YOU, until they are killed with impunity for their unlawful transgressions.

SmarterThanYou "I will continue to expose every law breaking jack booted thug I can find and I don't give a damn how many of your fantasy lovers are killed in action. As far as I'm concerned, they are all one in the same."

That's fucked up. Bad cops deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but they are by far the few. I have worked with cops. I have friends who are cops. None of them have ever acted outside of the law they represent.

that's a shame. but as long as innocent citizens and their animals are victimized by overzealous agencies and powermongers, I will continue to expose the JBTs for what they are as well as those that blindly worship them.

That's it, get it all out of your system.
Spew your hatred over your misdirected sense of direction.

I know; why don't you amuse us with your personal story of what "forced" you to formulate such angst.

You're just pissed; because I exposed the huge flaw in your little rant of "the majority".

Did you still need help finding that sugar teat??

PLease post your full name; so that when your name hits the paper, we'll be able to see the entire story of your stupidity. :good4u:

surprisingly, I have never endured any police misconduct in regards to any of my dealings with law enforcement, but it's reassuring to see that all you're capable of is irrational assumption.

you didn't expose shit because you're incapable of it. here is your teat.

no surprise here, police did nothing wrong.

The SWAT stormtroopers who invaded the Columbia, Missouri home of Jonathan Whitworth on February 11 knew a seven-year-old child lived there. This didn’t stop them from invading the home late in the evening, when the child would be put at risk. Nor did the invaders see anything amiss in shooting at two dogs that presented a “tactical obstacle” to the raid, even though the first shot missed the target.

Had things turned out just a bit differently, Whitworth’s child could easily have been murdered by the police through depraved indifference, as was the case with Detroit resident Aiyana Jones, the 7-year-old who was burned and shot to death during a May 16 SWAT raid on her duplex.

Perhaps the nastiest aspect of the raid — the video of which has been viewed more than a million times on YouTube — was the fact that Whitworth was charged with “child endangerment” because of the actions of the goons who conducted a military raid on his home that eventually netted a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.

In a May 20 news conference, Columbia Police Chief Ken Burton announced — and wasn’t the suspense terrific? — that the department had exonerated itself of misconduct in the February 11 raid. He admitted that “The officers knew a child was present,” despite solemn assurances to the contrary that had been issued earlier.

Burton also stated that the decision to shoot the dogs was “based on the safety priorities [SWAT operators] are taught to adhere to.”

Whatever the official policy might be, in practice the “priorities” alluded to by Burton dictate that “officer safety” is — at all times, and in all circumstances — the most important consideration. This means that if a dog presents “either a threat to the officers or a substantial tactical obstacle,” it can and should be shot — despite the fact that while armor-clad SWAT heroes can survive a dog attack, an errant round can easily kill a defenseless 7-year-old.

The official story continues to be that the dogs had to be shot because of their “aggressive” behavior. That claim is difficult to reconcile with Burton’s detailed account: “The first dog retreated and no longer posed a threat or tactical obstacle. The other dog did not retreat, and continued to pose a threat or substantial obstacle.”

This is to say that merely standing one’s ground is defined as “aggression” in the lexicon of the state’s armed enforcers.

Also noteworthy is the admission that lethal force can be used against “tactical obstacles.” Yes, Burton used that term with reference to the dogs. But keep in mind that by engaging in close-quarters gunfire, the SWAT raiders were willing to deal with that “tactical obstacle” in a way that put the child’s life at risk.

All of this was done to enforce a warrant based on unreliable “evidence” provided by a paid informant. While offering perfunctory promises to refine official procedures in trivial ways, Burton insisted that the actions of the SWAT team were “appropriate” and compatible with department policy.

It should be noted that Burton most likely wouldn’t have troubled himself with this matter at all were it not for the fact that the video of the raid went viral. This is why Burton, shortly before his self-exculpatory news conference, was heard to exclaim, “I hate the internet.”

The cyber-samizdat got the Mundanes all riled up, which isn’t how things are supposed to work. It’s so much better when incidents of this kind are filtered through government-approved propaganda channels. Just ask Detroit Police Chief — and aspiring “reality TV star — Warren Evans.
big shock (not) that after a full investigation of its raid by its own personnel, all policies were followed and the SWAT raiders did 'one heckuva job'.

but above all, police officer safety is a higher priority than the life of a 7 year old.

You got your panties all in a twist, when I used your own convoluted logic to show you how stupid it is.

Since then, all you done is whimper and whine.

Here, have another sugar teat.

you first, so we can all see what a cop fluffer looks like.

OH, that was a good one; I guess!!

You are obviously still upset over the fact that I've exposed you for a cocksucker, seeing as how you logic dictates that since some in your area are cocksuckers; well then, the majority of them are cocksuckers also.

:good4u:

wow, you sound just like taichi now. totally destroyed in your argument, yet still adamantly stand by the erroneous assumption that you're right. i'm impressed.

The only thng you've been able to destroy, is your own credability.
I used your own convoluted logic to show you how asinine it was and now all you've done is run from yourself.

Since your logic is so souind; why don't you show where using your own logic against you, is in error.

You have one last chance to refute your own logic, or else forever be branded as an idiot. :good4u:
