I saw an interview with the family that discovered her, they were getting ready to evacuate and the guy went out on his dock and heard her screaming for help from the other side of the river. They helped rescuers launch a boat by hand so they could rescue her. They brought her into their home and put blankets on her while the ambulance came for her.

Actually, I think they are doing that to some extent...they were just interviewing a number of responders, talking about the heartbreak of those recoveries...and how difficult it is to deal with that...
