Trump Kicks Off Celebration of America by Declaring His Hatred for Democrats

Magas picked this lying felon who said he would *unite* the country. If this is what "bringing Americans together" looks like, I hate to think of what the opposite is. It's Independence Day in America and we're still subjected to trump's usual loathsome comments.

"President Donald Trump declared his hatred for his political opponents during a supposedly bipartisan celebration of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence.

Taking to the lectern behind thick bulletproof glass in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday, Trump immediately started firing off political potshots. “They wouldn’t vote only because they hate Trump, but I hate them, too, you know?” Trump said, referring to Democrats who voted against his “Big Beautiful Bill,” which the House sent to the president’s desk after a tight vote.

“I really do. I hate them. I cannot stand them, because I really believe they hate our country.”

His tone was strange given that the event, on the eve of July 4, was organized as a non-political celebration. Trump’s liaison to the organizing group, America250, said that it was designed to bring Americans together."

trump in January 2025: "We're going to have a message that will make you happy, unity. It's going to be a message of unity. And again, I think success brings unity."

1. trump said, “National unity is now returning to America, and confidence and pride is soaring like never before in everything we do.”

2. He stated that the themes of his speech would be “unity, strength, and fairness.”

3. trump described himself as a “unifier” throughout the address, saying, “My proudest role will be that of a peacemaker and unifier. That’s what I want to be, a peacemaker and unifier”.

4. He hoped his election would bring “a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent, and totally unpredictable.”

5. trump mentioned that “the entire nation is rapidly unifying behind our agenda.”

Ever the delusional response. You don't bring people together by criticizing and bashing them, you work toward building consensus. Unfortunately magas don't know the meaning of that word. And we are not obligated to "get on board" with trump, which translates to toadying and kissing his behind. Btw toxic, when did you ever "get on board" with Biden? Refresh my memory.

Trump is the first president who emphasized separation and hate from day one. He ran on hate and it is who he is. He is not stopping that .Top loves that.
