ending birthright citizenship is the win we need. this is great, but as the majority pointed out, judges still do have a remedy even here to do similar widespread injunctions by expanding the class

you don't reward those that break the law. period. the 14th was not intended to reward criminals


We never intended to codify the ability to break a family up by saying the parents are illegal but the kids are not.

not all people. native Americans and foreign diplomats were excluded. these were entities we were perfectly aware of at the time - entities that were outside our jurisdiction

the idea of someone coming here illegally and having a kid so the kid could get entitlements was a foreign concept at the time

the parents are getting a reward seeing a child receive benefits. a reward they earned by breaking the law
