trump loves his dine and dash

You aren't the only one wondering.

There is no way troops would march that poorly when properly commanded. I have heard the problem may have been the lack of noncoms verbally voicing timing. trump/Hegseth had seen the Chinese march perfectly without someone telling them "right, left, right..." and did not realize it took months of training to get to that point. They thought troops would just automatically be able to keep time, and gave orders for the noncoms to be silent.

trump never served, so he did not know better. Hegseth did serve, as a spokesmodel, so did not know better either.

trump claims that he signed written orders, and gave verbal orders to start moving before the written orders arrive. There have been no written orders. It is questionable whether he can backdate written orders. trump's lie is going to cost these soldiers a lot of money.

I have been ordered to go somewhere, and the paperwork was to "catch up." That happens, so don't tell me it doesn't. The troops will get paid, eventually.
It has everything to do with the president. When a president federalizes troops with written orders, they are sooner or later entered into the federal system. They may not get all the benefits immediately, but they will be backdated to when the orders were signed. trump refusing to sign he orders has put everyone into a bizarre limbo.

I've personally seen and even experienced foul ups with pay and paperwork. It can take more than a year in some cases (and did in one of mine) to get the back pay straightened out. Show me where Trump has refused to sign orders for his call up.

The written orders federalizing them would mean they would be under the federal system. It is orders to the DOD to put them in the federal system. Without written orders, the DOD does not consider them federalized.

Again, show me where they didn't get written orders.
There is no process. These troops have not be federalized as far as the DOD is concerned. Without written orders, there is no process. With written orders, there is no way for the state to "mess the process up." Federalized troops are not under the authority of the Governor.
There is a process. Being given orders can be as simple as a day, even less--in writing. Been there, done that too. There is still a way for the state to mess up the process. The records for pay have to be transferred from the state to the federal system. The federal pay system is DFAS in Cleveland OH. Changes in pay can take several months to process, particularly when done on short notice. This is the current system:

Trying to call and talk to someone is an all-day experience in frustration.

Trump Is Stiffing the National Guard Soldiers He Sent to L.A.

The thousands of National Guardsmen President Trump sent to Los Angeles in an authoritarian power play are working for free.

More than a dozen guardsmen told Military.com that they remain unpaid, as they have yet to receive official activation orders. Receiving such orders would allow them to receive pay, Tricare health benefits, and Department of Veterans Affairs eligibility. Without them, the troops dispatched aren’t getting anything.

Trump’s abrupt deployment of the guardsmen, against the wishes of Los Angeles’s mayor and California’s governor, circumvented executive norms and has resulted in thousands of soldiers who aren’t sure if they’ll be compensated for the work they’re doing. Guardsmen have also complained about their living conditions, as many of them are sleeping on cots at a Naval Base on the edge of Los Angeles.

Forcing people to work for no pay is very on brand for the president. He owes the city of Albuquerque nearly half a million dollars in unpaid safety fees for a 2019 rally. He did a similar dash in cities across the country, racking up millions of dollars in unpaid fees. Some places, like Nassau County, gave up on trying to bill Trump entirely and just ate the $1 million he owed them. Similar instances occurred in Eerie, Pennsylvania; Tuscon, Arizona; and Green Bay and Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin. “He’s welcome here, but we need to have our bills paid. Any expenses incurred by us for him being here, or we don’t really want him here,” Prairie Du Chien Mayor Dave Hemmer said last year. “We are a smaller city and if we incurred expenses like that, we expect to be reimbursed. Or we’d say, ‘Don’t come.’” In his private life as a businessman, Trump frequently refused to pay contractors—hundreds have claimed he stiffed them for completed work as a private citizen.

Now the guardsmen are getting the same treatment.

Walt thinks Yahoo is a news source.

I have always known that if you treat people like crap, they will often quietly get revenge. I think trump is learning that now.
Democrats define what treating people like crap looks like Walt. Yet you vote for them. How stupid does that make you?

I have been ordered to go somewhere, and the paperwork was to "catch up."
Which is what trump led the soldiers to believe, by lying and saying he filled out the paperwork. It is now three weeks, and there is no paperwork. They have not been federalized.

The troops will get paid, eventually.
They get paid from when they join the US Army. That has not happened yet. There is no paperwork to federalize them, and it looks like trump cannot backdate the orders.

It is up to the California NG to cut the orders, not Trump. He orders the NG to federal service but the personnel staff are still California NG. You aren't getting this are you?

Their pay switches from state to federal. The amount remains the same as the state NG uses the same pay scale as federal troops do. Show me that there is "no paperwork to federalize them." The courts could find it and upheld Trump federalizing them.

I imagine that it takes quite a while to successfully plan a parade of that size. This one seemed hastily put together and not well executed. No doubt the #FatFascistFelon will insist on a bigger, better one in the near future.
I question whether it would be worth it to do it right... But if you are going to do something, you probably should do it right... Or what is the point.

The California National Guard has no authority whatsoever to federalize troops. Only the US President has that authority.
Because the unit is still a National Guard unit. This isn't new. There are four components of the US Army: Regular, federal Army. (abbrev. USA), federal reserve component (USAR), National Guard (USNG or NG), and Army of the United States (draftees, AUSA). That is how it is marked in service records or on someone's DD 214. Federalized National Guard are still National Guard.

This means the people doing the paperwork in administration offices are still National Guard. They pass that paperwork to the federal component when nationalized. The member's service record remains with the unit in the National Guard.

Them "non-marching" guys?
Those are the ones trained to kill you 9 ways to Sunday.
They do not give a fuck!
barneytruestory.gif

They have done things 95% of all other military will never do.
No matter their rank or marching, they are who you should fear.
Stone cold killers.

trump made verbal orders to federalize the troops saying he had signed written orders. trump lied. There have been no written orders. Without written orders, these federalized troops get absolutely no benefits, or even pay. There supplies are not paid for by the government, and if it can go past 90 days, they will not even be able to apply for reimbursement. It is a disgrace.

lol rubbish.
