Washington — President Trump attended a military parade in Washington, D.C., Saturday to celebrate the Army's 250th anniversary, as he also celebrated his 79th birthday.

The 250th Birthday of the U.S. Army Grand Military Parade and Celebration, as it's officially called, featured thousands of soldiers, an array of tanks and other military vehicles, and dozens of aircraft. A large crowd of spectators lined the parade route along the National Mall to watch.

Mr. Trump and first lady Melania Trump walked on stage to the tune of Hail to the Chief and a 21-gun salute before the parade began. Vice President JD Vance, second lady Usha Vance and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth were also in attendance.

You should watch the video, I learned that it is also JD Vance's Anniversary... we probably threw the whole thing together so he and his wife could celebrate that, ay?

Do the Navy and Marines get a parade? They turn 250 also this year?

How about one for the USAF and its predecessors?

One hundred years next year...

Before the United States Air Force was officially established in 1947, its predecessor organizations within the Army were called the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Army Air Forces. The Air Corps existed from 1926 to 1941, and the Air Forces existed from 1941 to 1947.

Is it on TACO’s birthday? If no, a parade is unlikely.

You do know that 99.9% of the celebration was for the Army...President Trump spoke for 7 or 8 minutes.

How did you celebrate his birthday?
I sent a card...I often do...
I got replies from Dwight Eisenhower (my dad's birthday) and JFK (my birthday)... Not sure if I'll hear back from President Trump...;)

That's quite a coincidence.

I get mail from President Trump often...asking for advice. (I was a donor to both of his elections)
