ADP reports just 37,000 jobs added in May, falling well short of economists' expectations

Companies in the private sector added just 37,000 jobs in May, payroll processing firm ADP said Wednesday.

The figure is well below economists’ estimates of 110,000 jobs and down from the prior month’s revised reading of 60,000. It was the lowest since March 2023.

These reports have been for so long extensively altered long after release that they have virtually no credibility.
They have always been revised a month later as new statistical information came in, they aren’t, nor where ever intended, to be the exact number as of the 31st of the month, wouldn’t be real if they were

The full effects of the tariff shock waves have yet to be felt.

Well according to the news this morning major cooperation's laid off another 90,000 people this week , and they weren't added to the total for the week yet.
Looks like MAGA is working.
How many more before Trump and his cronies wake up.
And if there were 37,000 jobs added that means a net loss of 53000 just from the loss of those 90,000 jobs.

Poor Cypress.

2 hours ago — US labor market adds 139,000 jobs in May, unemployment holds steady at 4.2%. Yahoo Finance's Josh Schafer reports: Read more here.

In May almost 140000 jobs were added. sheesh....all leftists do is lie it seems.
I love how you had to round up to 140k jobs

137k jobs would have been considered near anemic during Biden's presidency.

Yesterday's ADP survey only measures private company payroll jobs.

Today's federal BLS jobs report measures all jobs, including government jobs.

I love how you reported 37,000 jobs instead of 137,000 jobs.

137,000 > 37,000

Your reading comprehension seems to be at the second grade level.

ADP survey = only private company payroll jobs.

Federal BLS report = all jobs, including government jobs.

Apples and oranges.

Sure thing…sure.

Black is white, too.

Something is going to happen with this.
I suspect a recession is in the offing.

A couple weeks ago the odds put a recession at 30%, but then Trump returned to his yo-yoing tariff strategy, made threats against Elon's companies and then the dismal jobs report today. Agreed with the earlier post that the numbers will be revised as more data comes in, but if anyone expects a spike in a positive jobs report, they are fooling themselves.

I love how your source had to round it down....by a hundred thousand jobs no less..... lol
