While it didn't pass, the RNC has toyed with the idea of imposing a "purity test" for candidates to receive funding.

Oddly, the republican candidates that have actually gotten elected to the White House wouldn't pass.

And do you think Kennedy would have gotten elected if he were around today by democrats? A big no on that one.

So both parties are too extreme? And people scoff at me when I say we need a 3rd party. lol

That he was a crook, you can take the right wing nut out of them but apparently they are still crooked.

Its now coming back to the left because of just how badly the right wing ideas have failed this country and the world.
 
I hope the impose the test and run all the moderates out of the party.

The result will be an unelectable Drill Baby Party...

I feel sure they will loose in 12' because they have drumed out any acceptable canidate.

oh yeah, as evidenced by several congressional districts ousting long term democrats from the primaries in order to get fiscally conservative candidates to vote for. :good4u:

Watergate was at the end of his time in office. I know liberals didn't like him during his Presidency. I'm reading his bio and it looks pretty left-leaning to me. Why the hatred?

How about tell us what these failed ideas specifically are Desh and tell us the successful ideas are? Because Democrats and Republicans overlap on a lot of ideas so just saying right-wing doesn't cut it. Can you actually say specifics or only your talking point?
