I really do hate to burst the bubble of so many pinhead liberals and commies out there, but this is a realization they need to come to, and a truth they need to accept. I know it is difficult, because it totally shatters so many illusions, but there really is no Socialist Utopia to be found.
Let's examine this further by looking at a popular socialist objective... fair pay. We are constantly lectured about the disparity between the people who "have" and those who "have not", and a systematic redistribution of wealth is seen as an ultimate way to remedy this problem. Okay, let's presume that by some fluke, a socialist liberal congress passes the Fair and Equal Pay Act, ensuring that EVERY American earns the exact SAME paycheck each week. We are all making the exact same amount of income, across the board, everyone in America! It has become the law of the land! What would happen next?
Well, the NEXT problem, would be... how much actual WORK is done! Why should a man in an air conditioned office, not even breaking a sweat, make the same as someone who is digging a ditch in the hot sun? It's not fair! Some people sit around on their ass all day, and simply aren't efficient or productive, while others are working their asses off, getting the job done. But the law now says we all make the same income, so what could be done about this? We can't give everyone the same job, we need people to do all varieties of jobs, and everyone's ability to do a particular job, is dependent on many variables, there is not a way to ensure uniform productivity. There will always be some disparity, if not between the "haves" and "have-nots", between the DO's and DO-NOTHING's!
Let's say this same mythical socialist liberal congress passes the Equal Wealth Act, ensuring that all the wealth in America is equally divided among us all, we now all have the exact same amount of money in our checking accounts, it's all been divided up! Finally, we realize the ultimate Utopian dream of absolute wealth redistribution, every American has exactly the same sum of money! What's the next problem? Well, Jerry invests his money into smart financial ventures and earns double his money, but Johnny goes to Vegas and blows his entire wealth in a matter of 6 hours. Once again, almost immediately, we have wealth disparity! It will be based mostly on fiscal responsibility and luck. Nothing can really be done to prevent this, it will be something we will always have, because we are all humans and we all have individual minds which work differently. What would have to be done, is the 'wealth' would have to be confiscated and redistributed by the government weekly. This would be the only way to keep us reasonably close to wealth equality, and the only way liberal socialists would ever be completely satisfied. But what is the NEXT problem?
After discovering that it doesn't really matter how much wealth you generate, the government is just going to confiscate and redistribute it next week... how long do you suppose there would be people inclined to try and make money? I say it wouldn't take very long before despair set in, and everyone merely resigned themselves to doing nothing and accepting their fate. We're all at the casinos with Johnny, except the casinos don't bother to provide games or free booze anymore, that costs too much money, and what's the point? If you win, the government takes it and redistributes it, so now they just have Bruno standing at the door, taking your money....well actually, EARNING your money... standing there in the hot Vegas sun! But don't worry, your money will all be redistributed again next week, so it's all good, right?
Oh, but wait... What about that thing the socialist libs are now calling "Social Justice?" When we think of social justice, we tend to think about the great social injustices of the past, the way we treated the slaves or Native Americans, or maybe even how we've socially discriminated against the Italians and Chinese? Our bleeding hearts opine with sorrow, and we feel compelled to do something bold and try to make amends for the horrible past we feel so guilty about and somehow feel responsible for. Let's say, the mythical Liberal Utopian Congress, passes the Social Justice Act, and this gives every person who is the relative of someone persecuted in history, a weekly check for $5. Two problems... this now makes us unequal in income again, and it has to be confiscated and redistributed again. And, it doesn't change the history of what happened one bit. That $5 check will never make the past go away, or ease anyone's conscience over it. It will not remove discrimination or racist thoughts, those will prevail or maybe grow stronger. One final problem, every American can find some instance of persecution or discrimination toward their ancestors... (that's kinda how we all ended up here!) So maybe the solution would be, we ALL get a $5 check to spend at the casino?
So we see, there is a reason it is called a "Dream" of liberal socialist Utopia. It's unreal, it can't be realized.... it is but a DREAM! If we strive for this dream, it only reveals other problems and dilemmas to deal with. The logical conclusion being, that Liberal Socialist Utopia is not possible and ultimately fails whenever it is attempted. It is a really good theory on paper, it seems like a noble and just objective and goal, but it just doesn't work in practicality. Socialism and Communism fail every time they are tried, and Capitalism succeeds every time it is tried. Yet we still have a contingent of inexperienced mush-brains who haven't lived life yet, thinking they have all the answers, and refusing to accept the wisdom and judgment of those who have witnessed the horror of Socialism, who've seen what it causes, who know what price is ultimately paid to stop the horrors of it.
