Odd Time for a "Taxed Enough Already" Movement

more name calling? whats up with that man???????

I'm not personally attacking anyone. I didn't say that you are a jackass. I'm merely impugning an entire group of people I have not met nor have any desire to meet.

translation: "I refuse to listen to anyone who tells me what their message is. This way I can pretend they are just protesting to protest Obama... because that is what my masters want me to believe. So please don't throw any facts my way as I will simply ignore them and pretend they never existed"

No, I've listened. I've just never bothered to try to separate the signal from the noise. There's a whole hell of a lot of noise coming from the TEA Bagger camp. And, as I said before, they're just a bunch of disgruntled Republicans.

Blah, blah, blah

Apparently, you concede that they're just a bunch of disgruntled Republicans.

digruntled republicans eating their own, getting thier mad whitey on.
Sounds good in 10, sounds like Mcviegh come 2012

bunch of buffoons, one and all......mainly top and nigel here in this thread.

the TEA movement is about more than taxes and always has been. it's about the spending, size of the government, encroachment on unconstitutional power.....

keep it up, i say. reap the whirlwind.

what's funny is most tea baggers are too fucking clueless like smarter than a 4th grader and proud of his GED. Disgrunteled old white republicans being bussed around by Dick Army former lead republican.
YOU AIN'T AGAINST BUSING NOW!!!

top, you're such an ignorant tool. that education you tout has been worthless from day one. you'd have much more credibility going back to being a swamprat.

we will see smarterthan a tea bagger,
I say dems keep majority in mid terms and Obama kicks the dog shit out of the KKK/tea bag nominee in 12!!!

The federal governments taxation compared to GDP is around 20%. I don't know where those numbers he's citing come from. I'd have to look at it myself, but it's probably just the method they're using. Libertarians assume everything is a conspiracy though.

You're likely including lots of things that are not "personal income."

How about inflation? Is that a figment of my imagination? Real inflation is running around 9% itself, and thats a tax too.

So what you are saying is that it is OK to personally attack someone as long as I don't do it to their face? Understood. Thanks for the clarification.

No, you haven't listened. If you had, you would not have posted this article with the pretense that the Tea Party is somehow upset about 2009 taxes when in fact 2009 taxes are down. Yes, there is a lot of noise from the tea party... they are being forced to fight all the negative stereotypical bullshit being put out there by the left wingnut crowd. As I stated before... according to the surveys done... 4/10 are not Republican.

Apparently, you concede that they're just a bunch of disgruntled Republicans.

While there certainly are some in the crowd, only a left wing nut goose stepping along behind their dear leader would pretend the tea party is all just a bunch of angry disgruntled Reps.

So are we supposed to believe that we're only getting taxed 9% of our income, even if our tax rates are 15%, on top of all the other taxes we pay?

This article seems ridiculous really.

That 9% is an average of taxes paid. What it doesn't mention in the article is that when you lose your job... suddenly your income taxes also dissipate. It also fails to bring up the point that another reason the average is low is that many people have losses to write off due to the market collapse. So revenue from investments went down the drain.

But you are correct, the article is ridiculous to assert that the tea party is simply upset about 2009 taxes.

They are not including social security taxes. The count those as 'insurance payments'.

You need to check your sarcasm detector. I thought I was laying it on pretty thick there.

Like I said, I've listened. There's way to much noise to try to sort out what coherent message the TEA Baggers are trying to convey other than ANGRY.

And, as I said, the TEA Baggers are Republicans. They may have support among "independents" but that is to be expected considering that true "independents" are rara avis. What you have are Republican leaners supporting a Republican movement. Not a shock, really.
