Putin’s Still In Charge​

Trump can’t end the Ukraine war, and he knows it.

Today’s phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump was a painful reminder that Trump is the junior partner in the Russian-American relationship and that Putin will continue his mass-murder campaign in Ukraine for as long as he can get away with it. Nothing else of substance emerged from the call. When it comes to Europe’s largest armed conflict since World War II, Putin’s still in charge.

Putin, exuding confidence, got out ahead of Trump just minutes after the call and talked in person to the media, which allowed him the first move in framing the discussion. (Today’s Russian autocrats understand public relations far better than their dour Soviet predecessors.) Putin’s quick personal readout of the call was a perfect nothingburger:

Alexander of The Duran today (from Russia) reports that not long ago....I forget what day he said....Witcoff said that he wanted to go to Russia again for another talk with Putin....but the Russians said no.....there is nothing to talk about. Alexander speculates that the Russians have decided that he is not listening.

My grapevine has been chattering of late that one of the Trump flaws is that he tends to believe and go with the last person who has talked with him.
 
I am hearing that the Russians told Trump no, there will be no meeting with Putin anytime soon....we have work to get done first.

Ties in with them recently telling Witkoff not to come, there is no justification for another meeting with Putin.
 
That Trump continues to claim that Russia is taking a thousand dead a day, and that the Russian economy is near collapse.....NEOCON Fantasy/BullShit....has got to be part of the problem.

The Russians need someone serious to talk to....not a clown.
 
This is one of those places were I have a hard time telling if I am looking at Art of the Deal bullhit tactic, or is this rather Trump having not the first fucking clue what reality looks like.

Putin, same as the Red Chinese and Iran, have never honored any treaty or agreement. They are thug gangster regimes, and should be dealt with accordingly. They only recognize force, period. Plans to take him down should have been implemented the second the scum made his nuclear threats.
