Information becomes a Distraction, a Diversion

Yeah, information is only good to big govt when its mindless tv shows or video games..

Once we start replacing American Idol with watching politics.. whoa.. now its bad..

fuck them

The presidnet has a point, depends on how you use and process that information, but it is a dubious position for the executive to be taking.

the last thing he wants is to have people distracted from his message by information.....I believe he recently called on people to listen to huffingtonpost.....

All Drudge is, literally, is a bunch of links to other news sources with the occasional original rumor story. Methinks thou dost protest too much.

What Drudge does is put right wing, inflamatory headlines and photos on top of news stories. Generally however they link to Conservative rags as if it were fact.

Drudge is a Republican. The editorial decisions regarding what gets put up on Drudge are made for partisan political purposes. Pretending that Drudge is just a neutral and objective aggregater of news stories is fucking stupid.

Not actually. I find they link to CNN, MSNBC, etc as often as not.

Again, all it is, literally, are links to other news sources put together in a sloppy way.

They are chosen for what he believes will be of interest to conservatives, true. On occasion he has some original content, usually rumor mill stories.

I could post stories from that site, and most here would never even know that they came from that site because it would wind up being a link to CNN, or WSJ, or ABC, etc...

Much like Huffpost does. Except they do it prettier with added editorialism (more original content).

Cnn and Msnbc are fairly conservative for one thing, and they do link to them.

They pick stories they can put a conservative bent on with a misleading headline.

MSNBC is not conservative at all, what have you been smoking? They are the FoxNews of the left.

CNN is center-left.

I've actually seen stories directly from Huffpost linked on Drudge's site. I don't go that often, because I can get links using the "get news" function here and his site is ugly. He isn't "worse" than Huff, they do the same thing, prettier, and for the left.

MSNBC is owned by an extreemly conservative corporation and illistrates that bias, in my opinion. They are not the Fox news of the left except in the editorial portion which is just candy being sold to liberals. The news portion is very pro-corporation and pro conservative.

It doesn't matter who it is "owned" by, when they literally cater to the left directly.

And NBC and Microsoft are not conservative any more than ABC and Disney are.

You attempt to mislead people, but we're not stupid here. MSNBC is literally the left answer to FOX.

I disagree.

Editorally you are correct, Oberman is the answer to Hannity....

As far as the news departments are conserned, they all have a conservative pro corporation bias.

No, they don't. You can "disagree" all you want, they have positioned themselves more and more lately to be the left Fox. The further they go the less eyes they get on the product and I'm happy about that, but what they were doing before wasn't working either.

When the reporters are literally told not to say the word "terrorist" you can bet dollars to donuts that they are not even close to "right wing"...
