TOP! 3 Movies

I think there are -very- few films that I've watched again on my own. If I'm watching a film I've already seen but a friend or family member hasn't, though, I'm good with that. One exception was "The Last Unicorn" when I was a kid. Technically, I watched it several times with my sister, though, so even though we had -both- already seen it, it didn't matter because I liked watching just about anything with my sister. I'd even watch shows I definitely think were meant for girls like "my little pony", but I made a rule that -half- the time we would watch her shows and the other half, it would be my shows. She didn't like that rule, but it basically worked out :-p.
You remind me of My Brother in Corpus...."I already watched it.....why would I watch it again?"

Wifey and I dont agree on watching movies over and over again....I have very few that I do that with.....she keeps on proposing movies and I am at "I dont want to watch it again yet"....on her own she watches series over and over again as she multitasks and uses them for background noise.

All three of my top 3 I have watched at least 30 times.

Interesting Fact: It is not at all unusual for me to notice something as I watch that I dont remember noticing before, and I wonder how I never noticed it before...a lesson in how brains are weird.

But maybe not all that surprising....I think this is a signature of great art.

Other movies I come back to again and again:

MASH
The Ice Storm
Ordinary People
Clueless
What Maisie Knew
Girl Interrupted
Uptown Girls
The Man without a Face
Wall Street
St Elmos Fire
About Last Night
Breakfast Club
Avatar
A Chorus Line
All That Jazz

It was exceedingly boring, quiet, the animation sucked, even for a kid the animation compared to other movies of the time just was not up to par.
I thought the animation was great :-p. As to boring and quiet, I guess it could be seen that way in some parts. I loved the whole thing though. But as I said, I was growing up with a sister who I think liked films and tv series that had quiet parts sometimes. Also, I really liked a lot of the musical pieces, from a music group called America. I actually have the following musical piece on my current playlist:

Thinking of the main unicorn character herself, I think there are -definitely- some elements of her that remind me of my actual eldest sister too.

I strongly suspect that women do this "background" thing a lot more than men. I believe they're generally better multi taskers than men too. I don't think I've -ever- watched a show 'in the background'. It either gets my full attention or I'll watch it later.

Anyway, 30 times, wow, that's something :-p. I'd be right there with you on the "I don't want to watch it again yet"- the only exception I made was the "The Last Unicorn" film when my sister wanted to watch it again. It was kind of funny, because we didn't actually -own- a copy of the film, so we'd go rent it again and again at blockbuster or some other video rental place. We finally did get a copy of it but by then we'd grown up and I think that copy got lost. I may have it hanging around on my external hard drive though and if not, I -might- still be able to download it somewhere.

Oh, and about noticing new things, I've definitely noticed that too, especially if I'm just watching something for the second time. Case in point, the last Matrix film (Resurrections), the second time I was watching it, I'd literally forgotten how it ended :-p. There are tons of details in any good film, the issue is whether I want to spend my time noticing them or doing something else, like debating online or seeing something I haven't yet seen.

Of that list, I've seen Girl Interupted and Avatar. I liked them both and I'd watch them again if a friend wanted to watch them with me, but yeah, I can't see myself watching them again on my own. Though I haven't seen it, I -suspect- I might like Wall Street. I say this because I really liked another film that basically dealt with the 2008 stock market crash called Margin Call. I decided to watch it after seeing a certain scene, on instagram I think, and saying, I have to see that whole film. It was this scene that got me hooked:

That the newest movie on my list is 2013 speaks volumes, though The Greatest Showman 2017 almost makes the list, and might one day.

Hollywood product has generally been unwatchable for many years now.

Can Hollywood be reformed and saved is right there on my grapevine with can universities be saved and can corporate journalism be saved.

The general opinion is no, they must be replaced.
