We have been through these sorts of stories too many times....the ending is almost always depressing.

I'd say this, by your standard, is the 1 in 10 where they are not. The articles I linked included sufficient details of what they arrested Said for to pretty much make it a 99% guilty case.

Could be, but what I saw during a short look on X this looks like the typical FBI "we created a half baked terrorist and then saved you" story.

This kid had lots of social media like:

They have drawings, maps, and written plans he gave the undercover agents on how to attack the facility. He flew a camera drone over the facility on multiple occasions, and they have that video. They have e-mails and facebook posts where he was conversing with terrorists in the Middle East. This guy couldn't have been more obvious if he sent up fireworks.
